  • I don't want to dishearten you but you have a long job in hand. Check to see if you have another Meter in the Electric and gas cupboard, if you have then the meter reader should read that one if they can't read the one in the hole, if not then you must dispute the meter reading on your bill, the reason for this is meter readers get paid for reading meters they are private companies as well, so it does'nt bother them how much you pay so long as they give a reading from your meter, the amount you pay sorts out the water investors for that year, you know bubbly and all that.We are at the moment in dispute with our water company United utilities they are over charging us £280 but we have been able to contact aged concern the lady dealing with ours doesn't pull any punches. Anyway I hope you get sorted with this but don't give up
