Can't believe we are half way through the year already! Where has the time gone? Need to get cracking on more money making and debt repayments to try and meet my target by the end of the year. Really want to be credit card clear for next year so I can start saving to do some travelling!
Keeping my eye out for more mystery shops, surveys etc as normal. Started a survey then was filtered out, really annoying! I found some info at home the other day though which had a list of cashback and (I think) survey sites too so need to sit down properly and make sure I'm signed up to them to do all the free daily clicks. I really want to start crafting and trying to sell some stuff on ETSY, not sure what yet though. I might need an idea of what I'm going to make first :rotfl:
Still haven't re-organised my stuff from moving. I should have a few days this month where I can do it and be ruthless with things to sell at the same time, hopefully I will find a few things at least.
Hope everyone is doing well with debt repayments/savings. Anyone doing any re-planning/budgeting now it's half way through the year?

First mystery shop in ages completed yesterday. Bit worried I have put down what was to the right of the shop incorrect and I won't get paid, but I will keep my fingers crossed! Just keeping my eye out for some more. Hoping I can start doing alot more of these and get given higher paid ones.
Have decided this month I am going to keep a tally of how much I am spending on petrol. Have been staying here there and everywhere lately (home, nans, friends house) so will be interesting too see how much I am spending.
The Euromillions failed to release my money again this week :rotfl:so better get a ticket for Friday. I normally don't buy them because I rarely win anything and it annoys me, lol, but I will do it until they start giving out money to the next in line if no one wins again, got to have a few more chances then!

Another mystery shop completed at the weekend, so should have £14 coming my way soon :j
I have also sort of found some stuff to Ebay! One of the boxes of clothes I had was meant to go to recycling/tip/charity, but I still have it, plus it's the better stuff I have left, so need to get cracking taking some pictures and getting them up. Hoping to take the pictures over the weekend.
Was naughty at the weekend and bought a black dress. It's my brothers OH's hen party in August and we are dressing as brides in whatever colour we want and stuff. Have bought the kind of dress I was after but it is longer than I wanted and a bit worried it's too posh for a club. It's very versatile though and I could also wear it for work (was in the work section), posh do's etc. It was £33 so not loads but I don't NEED it. Was very naughty, but I do love it!
Need to call the TV licence company this week. They took out a direct debit they shouldn't have as I cancelled it. I emailed them and they said I need to send a form and that I was paid up till Dec, yet money is still coming out every month? I'm sure I was paying 6 months in advance, but going to call them to confirm it all and get my 12 odd pound back.

I now have a geeky mystery shopping spreadsheet :j I love a little geeky spreadsheet. I have one for my budget and now my MS one. Found loads more mystery shopping sites thanks to the lovely people putting them on this site so have been signing up to them. Hopefully I will start getting more and more shops to do. I'm thinking I should write it all down too incase I lose my spreadsheet?

Doing a practice rubiks cube cake for my friend this weekend. She wants one in a couple of weeks and I wasn't going to do practise one, but have started worrying about it a bit. Cost more than I thought it would to do it but I want it to be good as it's the first one at a party where I won't know most of the people! Also supposed to be dressing 80's fancy dress. Not a lover of fancy dress and wasn't going to do it but I'm thinking do the whole neon thing which will be pretty cheap. My cousin has the stuff too so will hopefully get it off her, very MSE! :T

    Monday again!
Nice little mystery shop to do after work tonight, shouldn't take too long and should be very easy.
Was looking on a cashback site last night for some free cashback and saw one of the ones where you sign up to do competitions. I was just going to do it for the cashback and the Email I was going to put in gets alot of spam anyway and was just doing it for the cashback, but am a little worried as they ask for your address and stuff. Does anyone here use these sites and if so do you know what they do with your details (apart from sending you prizes?).
Just found a thread by Dinah from years ago. Have started to read it as it's very inspirational and her love story is so sweet.
Off to look for surveys and Mystery Shops.

  • Have paid off £29.01 today, which was £10 left over in change from last month, some from Quidco and some from mystery shopping.

Got myself a new 0% card the other day, should be getting £35 cashback for it which will cover the balance transfer fee and maybe some more depending on how much credit they give me and if all my balance can therefore be transferred. My new target to pay off by the end of the year is now £6500, only about £4000 to find in 5 months!:rotfl:

Found my car loan statement today. This isn't included in my target but I knew I would be paying more in my last payment in November. Turns out it's £100 more so that will put me back on the cards a bit and means I have more to find but hey atleast my car loan will be paid off :j Also have my MOT end of the month beggining of next but hopefully will have enough saved for that, then it's my service in Oct, but I will try not to think about that for now!

Might sign up for a free trial through a cashback site but I did it a little while ago under a different email and different address as I have moved, but not sure it would work. Is it worth the try for £15 cashback to put on my cc?

Two supermarket mystery shops picked up today, both for this evening! I'm a bit nervous though, one I have to ask about tv's and remember answers I need to give to questions they might ask, plus I'm gonna look such a girl! The other one I have to ask where stuff is in 6 departments providing there is a staff member, so hopefully in half the departments there won't be :rotfl:I was just saying to my OH and Mum why do I do this to myself, but then I say I got myelf in to this mess with debt, so this is the price I am paying to get myself out of it! Although to be fair, when my debts are paid, I'm considering continuing MS'ing to put money aside to save. It all helps and can go towards travel or future stuff.

  • Well did my two mystery shops yesterday. Bit concerened about the second one as they asked me questions in the report about departments that I wasn't required to visit, I wonder if they gave me the wrong report? Have filled it in best I can anyway and told them in the email I sent, so hopefully they will still pay me.

Going to try and finish changing over my CC's and stuff to my new address tomorrow, or at least as many as I can. It's really annoyed me that my car insurance are going to charge me about £15 for the pleasure, especially as I am renewing next month as well so I might have got away without the fee then. Oh well, these companies do love to scam us!

Meeting lots of my OH's mates tomorrow at his friends wedding. I have met a couple already. Just going to the evening as we haven't been together long and so it was kind of short notice. Will be a bit nervous but I'm sure I will be fine once I have a few Tequila's in me! :p

  • Well the wedding went well. I got on with everyone and had a great laugh, as well as a little drunk :rotfl:I have never got on so well with an OH's family and friends! :)

Didn't get all my addresses changed at the weekend. Had a dress crisis whereby my dress has got too small (only worn it once a few months ago!) and another one was getting tight, so went out and got some accessories for another dress I have. OH said I looked beautiful though so it worked out well :D Have started to eat a bit better (and smaller portions, I love my food! Lol) because I WILL fit in the dresses properly again! I've never had an issue with putting on weight so it's a little upsetting that now at 26 I have to start watching what I eat.

Picked up 3 mystery shops today. One for tomorrow and two for Sept. Will be a bit nervous about some questions I need to ask but just thinking about the money and it's all confidence building. There are a few others I could have picked up in the last few days, but ones I don't have the guts for yet. Hopefully I will be able to pick up some more. Might have a little challenge with myself with how many I can pick up in one day :D

Well I managed to pick up another mystery shop the other day, so that was 4 in one day! I will now have to go for 5 in one day!
Sold both of my v festival tickets over the course of the weekend. Actually sold them both for less than face value in the end because no one was buying, but OH's mate is a hairdresser so we did a deal of you can have my ticket for x amount and a free haircut and it was a deal. My hair cut is normally £38 so I have basically broken even which is great as I was going to get it done next month for my brothers wedding anyway. As soon as I get the money for those that will go straight on to the cc. Not sure if I have to pay postage out of my seller amount for the one that is going via UPS or if the buyer pays it, but all in all should have around £250 to £260 coming in which is great. I am still going, but I am camping now. Haven't camped there before but should be a good laugh. Going with OH, his brother and maybe his brothers friend, plus my parents and brother and his OH are going, and one of OH's mates, oh and one of my mates and some other family are going so hopefully will be able to see them all. Just got to hope it doesn't rain or I won't be happy! I will just have to embrace it if it rains but I really hope it doesn't!
I am also in the process of getting £15.05 out of a bingo site that has been sitting in there for a couple of years. Haven't got it out before because my bank card changed and it wouldn't let me do it without calling them, so have called them and they are dealing with it. Will hopefully get that out of them soon.
I have some other great news - I am moving in with my new OH on 1st October! :j I really don't want to move with all the stuff I am getting rid of, so from now until then I need to Ebay Ebay Ebay sell sell sell! I need to be ruthless and anything that doesn't sell I might just charity shop. Have loaded around 22 cd's on to Music Magpie, should get around £6 for those. Seems a bit like robbery but atleast I will be getting something for them towards the cc and it's better than filling up space I could use for other stuff. Does anyone know where I can sell CD singles other than Ebay or do they sell well there, Music Magpie doesn't take them which is annoying, I have quite alot! It's going to be a busy time with sorting my stuff, selling, getting ready to move, as I also have v fest next weekend, a colleauges wedding and my brothers wedding in Sept and also my bro's OH's hen party bank holiday Sunday. Will be worth being busy for though to move in with him :D
