Lots to do today. Got up a little later than I wanted to, about 2 hours later, but I am up now with a cuppa then I will get on with stuff. Today I need to:
Look round the flat for stuff to sell - started
Find our council tax letter so I can give them a call tomorrow. Due the tax break in Feb and March but we have never had one before, so need to make sure we will be getting our tax free months and if we are owed money from last year - found this years
Find our gas and elec letters so we can look for a cheaper deal - done
Find old payslips/P60's/P45 for tax return - mostly done
Find our old holiday recipts and work out if OH owes me some money.
Find a notepad which I know I hav lying around the house to put my budget in so I can carry it with me - done
Call 3 x banks about tax on savings for return.
Find my book that I have my mystery shopping info in for tax return - done
Also put recipts from jewellery making stuff in it in case I sell what I make.
Find my certificate for national insurance which shows when I need to apply for a new one so I don't need to pay it on my self employed work as I do not earn enough to pay it.
Go food shopping and spend as little as poss - done
Get our shelving unit that we have reserved - we should be able to pay for most, if not all of it with Nectar points. :j- done
Pay off the remaining amount on one of the credit cards - Done - hopefully there won't be an interest charge left to pay next month fom this month when the bill comes through. Also paid £4.91 on remaining CC from cashback received. :j
Have a great day everyone.£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Hi All
Got my CC bill through today that I was hoping was going to be zero, however the statement was obviously printed before the money I previously paid had cleared. Then I realised my friend still owes me £3.90 so have just paid that off out of my bonus then when she gives me the money I will put that on my other card. Also paid £1.75 in interest this time  Hopefully the next bill will say zero!
Not much more debt busting news at the moment in terms of payments. Have £90 in the bank I need to pay but just waiting for my bill to come in. I keep forgetting I have put that aside, I just keeping thinking of my bonus money that I can hopefully use all of to pay more money off, so it keeps being a nice suprise when I keep remembering
Been looking into selling handmade things such as jewellery. Been looking over at the craft forum and someone has put you should get products liability just incase someone stabs themselves in the eye with an earring for some reason then tries to sue you. Have been looking on business link about it and it is recommended to get the insurance. I'm sure there are people out there who don't have insurance but I wouldn't want to do anything without it now. The cheapest I have seen so far is £71 a year  My plan initially was to make some stuff then try and sell it, then the profits could go on the card, but it seems I would have to pay out more money than I thought before I can start and there is no saying I will earn it all back. There are just so many hoops to go through. Does anyone have any experience selling homemade items? I will pop this on the craft forum too but no one has said anything on there for a long time so I'm not sure anyone will reply. I am still in the process of researching stuff. Saw a beading book online for £7 i was going to buy, but went shopping at the weekend and saw another one for £2.99, so bought that out of some Christmas money and saved myself £4
Oh I have finished calling up all my savings accounts and found out I have £18 in one account and £8 in the other. When I rung up one I thought had £3 in, they said £18, I just kind of went, what? :rotfl:So when I know what tax I need to pay guess where the remainder of that will be going? Yep, my cc!:)

Oh and I also had a free 2 hour lunch today, a supplier took my boss and I out for lunch. Had breads and dipping oil to start, then a pastry/tomato/mozzarella/onion thing then a creme brulee, so that was good£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

The forum is down Sat
Bought a little date diary today. My boss had one and I really liked it and it was only 75p. It's like a diary, but it's a month view and has just enough room to write in what you need to. Normally I buy a normal diary but I start using it then forget about it. Good thing about this little date diary is you can see your whole month at once and I can just fit in all my outgoings on the side so every month I can put it down and I know where I am. It's only little so great to carry around with me. Got my fringe cut for free today too as normal so that was great.
My herb garden is growing really fast which I am really excited about. It grew so much over night the other night that if I had of stayed up I could probably have seen it grow! The soil on my indoor small daffodils though has started going furry which is really weird? Might have to throw the soil away and re-pot them.
I'm sure there was something else I was going to say, but I can't remember what it is :rotfl:if I remember, I will write it down.£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Oh yes I remember what it was - wasn't very impressed with work today. Tomorrow I have to go to a supplier which means getting a train. I used to take my money out of petty cash and some of the other people at work can use a company credit card (the others who don't go out often are usually with someone with a company card when they go), but the last time or two I have had to use my own money and claim it back. Bearing in mind it's over a tenner I didn't want to use my credit card incase I got interest which obviously the company won't pay and I'm not exactly full of money that I can just do without for a couple of weeks, I thought this was a bit bad. Turns out someone is getting the train with me on their way somewhere so I don't have to pay it myself now and it was pointed out that since I have just got my cc bill through and I would get my money back end of the month before the next statement I shouldn't get any interest charged. I'm not keen on taking the risk though. I just thought this was a bit bad!£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Free lunch at work today :j The bosses decided they would take us all out, which worked out really well because today was the first day in ages I haven't brought lunch into work. Same yesterday, free lunch with the bosses and clients, then went to a supplier, then went home, all in spent around 40 mins in the office, so a hard days work it was
It did mean talking to clients about work and general chit chat, but the bosses did most of that, I just put in my bit when neccessary and to be friendly.
£90 paid to bills the other day, that's all updated in my sig.
Other than that, not much to say, just wanted a little update.£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Signed up to Topcashback the other day after seeing Martins post about the Experian etc cashback. Did 2 of those so hopefully another £20ish quid will be winging it's way to me soon. Just checked on there that all the cashback is going through and it has been validated so that's great. I noticed that they have a free cashback section, so I have been scouring that for some free money
Just need to cancel the 30 day free trial over the next few days so it wasn't a waste of time.

So I did some sums yesterday and this is what I found:
Combined cc/loan debts to pay off this year = £5423.06
Paying loan by direct debit at £225.98 per month, leaving £2711.30 (cc)
I have set myself £100 a month from my wages to pay off my card, leaving £1511.30 left to find
£1511.30 over 12 months is £125.94 (plus any interest or balance transfer fees to other 0% cards)
This is actually better than I thought it would be, it's still alot of money to find over the month, but £125.94 is achievable right?£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Hi All
A few updates today. Paid £2.10 off a couple of days ago, round my bank balance a bit, I'm sure the cc company will be happy about that
Monthly food shop yesterday, actually didn't do too bad compared to what we normally spend. It cam to £140 minus approx £16 saving so was around £124.50, got loads of stuff too and even some stuff we don't normally get so was chuffed.
Got myself back on to doing surveys again, I'm around £25 off my first payout, not sure how long it will take to get that amount up!
Cancelled one of my credit report free trials today, need to cancel the other one this week.
Hoping all the stuff I need for my tax return turns up today, getting worried now!£9,000 (Ish) in 2013

Hi All
REALLY REALLY annoyed with the bank today. I have been waiting for some stuff from the bank re the interest I have earnt and what tax I have been paid on it and it still hasn't come! Last year they were able to tell me over the phone but due to a merger with another bank they can't do that anymore. I don't know what I am suppose to do if I don't get these details by Satruday. I HAVE to do my tax return at the weekend or will get a £100 fine for not completing it in time. So do I wait till I get the details and pay £100 or do I submit my form without the savings/tax on interest details. Anyone been in this position before?
Pleased though that I found out today that I am getting paid tomorrow now instead of Monday and I didn't get any money deducted from when I was sick :jso as long as I don't owe the taxman too much money (I have worked it out but they may 'find' I owe some), then I will have extra to pay from the bonus I was paid last month.
Something else I don't know if anyone can help with. My boyfriend and I moved in together 2 years ago in the April, we then moved again in the October and as far as I am aware we paid council tax in the Feb and March when we maybe shouldn't have? Does anyone know if there is a reason why we might have paid it? Getting OH to check his bank statements and will dig out our bills from the last 2 years but just wondered if anyone knew?£9,000 (Ish) in 2013
