Another reasonably cheap option is B&Q! They do wardrobes that you buy flat packed and build yourself, and then you can buy the plinths and edges etc to turn them into fitted wardrobes. Can also buy various rails, drawers, shelves etc to customize them. Only catch is i think we had to wait a couple weeks for them to be delivered. We bought them as we wanted wood doors with mirrored panels and ikea only did full mirrored doors, and found the B&Q ones easy to build and good quality!! :)

Looked at them in IKEA last night, I need the bigger size!!

Worked out I can get another cm if i have no carpet and underlay there. I also want the sliding doors, is this not an option really or could a handy man work on this and get it fitted?
    Just have a little faith

Depends on what the doors are made of and how you want them to look. The ones I saw at IKEA, the doors had little bars going over the front which made them visually look like they were in 3 pannels. If you cut one of these down then the panels will not be equally spaced.

Think I may checkout the B&Q ones. I also noticed some sites will make them to measure, so that maybe another option.
