Hi looking to get some new wardrobes when I can move back into my house, look the measurements of where the old 2 were and its 220-230-47, I thought I had found what I was after with the Ikea Pax wardrobes but they require min 240cm hight and I only have 230 - are these still an option with some work, or does anyone else know something similar?
thanks

I'm sure the pax come in two height sizes may be worth checking again as I think the 240 is the taller one.0

Yes I believe Pax certainly used to (and sure still does) come in 201 and 236 heights. We looked a couple of years ago and the figures stick in my mind0 -
Ill have a look - thanks guysJust have a little faith0

Pax still do the 201cm height. You can select your own combination - look at frames and doors separately, if you can't see it from offered options.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Yeah I can see - Im guessing these are about as good a value for money wardrobe you can buy right?Just have a little faith0

Pax come in two heights, measurements as previous posts (in girlspeak - the height of a bedroom door and the height of a bedroom wall). Mine are now 6 years old and still look brand new..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

we built them with 236cm high floor to ceiling, you need 240 if you build them flat and then stand them up but if you have a couple of friends to help you can build them standing up and then you don't need the extra clearance0

A few years back IKEA used to do two depths as well - 60cm and 40cm. We used to have 40cm in the previous house and it was perfect for the smallish main bedroom. Unfortunately, I can't see them doing the 0cm ones anymore! Also, it was perfect depth for folded clothes in the shelves: not too deep so you would be putting two rows and 'forgetting' what is behind.
We sold the house, had no place to store the wardrobes and had to say good buy to those as well (we sold them on ebay for nearly the same price we bought them for)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

This is the thing to remember - you always need clearance height of the shortest triangle you form with the height/depth or height/width, unless you can build them vertically.
Calculate this as the square root of the sum of the squares of the other two dimensions0 -
I have the same problem. I want the PAX ones in my bedroom, but they come in 200 and 230 i believe. The problem I have is my floor to ceiling is 226. So I either have to cut the taller one down to fit, or use the smaller size and have a 26cm gap between top of cupboard and ceiling.
I wanted the nice big sliding doors, but i think trying to cut them down due to the design of them will not work - they are either glass, or wood, and have 3 pannels. So, the easier option for me would be to use opening doors, as I should be able to cut them down nicely and alter the hinges to suit.0
