Trying to stop eating bread

  • Ha aha!!!!

Since I stopped eating bread for breakfast I have lost 3 pounds!

I have discovered the best thing in the world to eat instead. Crisp bread/ ryvita with low fat cheese soft cheese and sliced avocado on top - delicious and healthy and helps me get my essential fatty oils and my 5 a day veg. I am really happy!

  • I've been trying not to eat wheat bread lately too- Would it be permissable for you to have other types of bread such as rye bread and soda bread? Making your own soda bread is really simple (lot easier than making "proper" bread)

At weekends I've got into the habit of making gram flour pancakes (just a standard pancake recipe but using gram flour instead of wheat flour- sort of a cross between a pancake and a chappatti) and eating them with chopped fried tomatoes and lots of pepper. Also good to have quality sausages (I use the Cauldron veggie ones) with a heated portion of tinned tomatoes.

Can't really be bothered with all that on a weekday morning at 6am though- tend to get in oat cakes, potato cakes, that kind of thing- not bread but you can still stick them in the toaster or under the grill.

    Hope this helps
