Ive eaten the diet breads before, M&S streets ahead of the nimble airy rubbish.
What about crisprolls/ crispbreads with cold meats as they would in sweden?:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

How about having a look at the Atkins Diet book or recipie book. You could be cheeky and just do this in bookshop without buying it, and all the idea there are no-carb (but high fat sadly). Omelettes, cooked breakfasts and smoked fish all feature highly from memory.0

Atkins suggests omelettes made with 4 eggs & bacon - you can have mushrooms but not many.

I seem to be addicted to crispbreads with cream cheese & smoked salmon trimmings (Morrisons do these for 80p a packet) for breakfast at the moment.
You could have a fried breakfast every morning with stuff like bacon, eggs, and sausages. Or cook sausages/ham joint and have them cold, cheese is always good! How abouta nice steak? You can have anything you want, even left over curry.0 -
how about breakfast egg "muffins", with a variety of low carb fillings, a kind of filled omelette cooked in the oven.
a mixture of any of the following depending on your taste.
lightly fried onion , chopped up and squeezed frozen spinach (don't forget the squeezing as I forgot once and the muffins were truely, truely awful)
choppped up cooked sausage, tomatoes, leeks, courgette, mushrooms, bacon, ham trimmings, browned mince,
mix the selected fillings in a bowl with about 6-8 eggs, a handful of grated cheese, seasonings a bit of chilli could work, or herbs like oragano, pour into muffin tins I usually make 12 at a time. and cook at 200C for aboiut 20 mins or until the "muffins" are set and golden brown on top.
also you can seperate the eggs and whip up the whites to make a kind of souffle breakfast egg muffin
This recipe lends itself reaaly well to using up leftovers.
The muffins freeze really well - I make up loads at a sitting and take out a couple per day for my breakfast. I eat mine cold but if you like warm food it might be worth experimenting with reheating in a microwaveor in a frying pan etc.
My most sucessful have been courgette and bacon

Is bread the problem - or is it the butter/marg that goes on top of it?!! I rarely eat bread now even though I love it, because I only really like it with the fat on top. I'm getting used to eating it without, although I will say its a long, hard road. A bit like when I gave up sugar. Omelettes are great, really filling. And baked beans - even for breakfast! (you'll pay for it later though!)0

Is it carbs in general or just bread you're trying to avoid?
I've been trying to cut out wheat for about a year now. Breakfast usually consists of oatcakes or rye bread with sliced banana on top and occasionally low fat cream cheese too. Sainsburys sell an organic 'russian' rye sour-dough bread which although it feels like a house brick in the packet, once sliced and toasted it's not bad at all (much nicer than the 'pumperknickel' <sp!> type of rye bread). If you like savoury - how about marmite flavoured rice cakes with a little soft cheese? Or raw carrot, cubes of cheese, cherry tomatoes, etc?If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...0 -
one-non -blonde...Oatcakes are a real top substitute for bread,as someone who does a few weights i always eat them,great source of energy and fibre,and great with a little melted gouda in them.0
