Virgin +

I have recently aquired my own home and previously when living with parents I had Sky+ in my room which IMO was fantastic. However, I now have Virgin and was wondering of anyone could give me some consumer advise. I want to upgrade (I have XL Phone TV and Broadband) but I really want the + service as I work some crazy hours and miss my tv shows. Is the V+ anygood and how much more a month would I be looking at paying to 'upgrade'.
Thanks
Thanks

The v+ service is free on XL TV...however installation and a charge for the box WILL be incurred
we've had ours a couple of years now and initially had a fair bit of trouble until they switched to samsung boxes..never had a bit of trouble since really & VERY happy with the service, we looked at sky to start with & to be honest the V+ offered more recording time taping 2 things while watching another...sure they dont offer as many HD channels as sky etc BUT theyre increasing slowlyWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Yeah - we've got the SA box and it's diabolical compared to the Samsungs apparently. It's dreadful, loses channel guide for days at a time, can't flick through channels on the now/next at all to see what's on (it randomly locks up at worst, and is sluggish at best). Apparently it's still luck of the draw on what's on the van that determines if you get a good box or a piece of poo like we have.
We got ours for £49 install, provided we kept our old box in another room for I think it's £5 a month extra which was a fair deal considering TV reception through an aerial is a bit rubbish here. Was a short-term offer that'll no doubt rematerialize in time if you keep an eye out.
We're still switching to Sky+ when we move - problems with the box we have, and just the Virgin prices have been spiralling a lot of late so now we're free from rented house constraints we're going to make the jump across.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
