Can I unlock a new phone on the TESCO network

Tesco are doing the V3 Razor for £80 this is also in store and online

I am currently on orange PAYG with some amazing deals on my phone as long as I spend £10 per month so I just want to put in my SIM and not REG it to TESCO PAYG mobile network.

Will it work or will it require unlocking ?

I am a novice to this so any help would be great.

carphone warehouse are doin the v3 on vodafone but it should be unlocked already (they usually are from carphone)but ask to make sure in the shop for £64.99 plus £10 top up even havin to buy the top up it still works out cheaper than tesco

Tesco phones are on the O2 network by the way, so you may not have to unlock it. If you do then take it to the market and get it done for about £10.

browntoa i queried this in tesco on wednesday and was told if you want tesco to unlock it , the charge would be £30:eek: but then the guy said but if you spend £30 on credit they would unlock it for free, not sure if he was talking c**P but might be worth querying for some people

ive heard this before -prob true as virgin do the same thing
