Argos skateboard glitch 2 for £2.50!!

Just picked up my 2 reserved skateboards.

I tried to use the self service checkout at first but the skateboards were coming up at a total of £5.62 for two. Took my resevation print out to the customer serivce desk and explained I thought I'd only be charged £2.50. They let me have the 2 boards for £2.50.

der went to pick mine up today was told they had only 1 in stock - Im sure it was reserved??

yes if i had read further down it was for pick up from Sat to Tue next week - they were really nice and helpful so back Monday!!!!

I was going to do this with mine but I have been told the kids are not allowed them. Does anyone know if they are allowed them or not? Is it a health an safety issue or something?

Thanks for the heads up on this one. All Norwich stores only had one in each store - think they cottoned on ! Bought 2 from seperate stores, still bargain at 3.75 each. Both are going to the Salvation Army deprived child toy collection in Norwich. I figure that this is a nice way to pay it forward.

Hi, just wanted to add my tuppence worth.
I reserved 2 skateboards at my local store yesterday and went today to collect them. Went to till and I was asked for £5.62 I queried the price and showed the girl at the till my email reservation with the £2.50 printed on it. She checked the till again and the computer system and then went and spoke to the manager. He then came back over and told me that it must have been a glitch on the system that it was already reduced and basically if I wanted the 2 skateboards the price I would pay is £5.62 as your reservation is not a receipt or a guarantee of price.

He wasn't rude as such just quite abrupt and not for shifting so gave up fighting and ended up paying the £5.62 as it was still a good price for 2 skateboards. Another 2 Xmas presents sorted.

thanks OP. Reserved 2 yday and printed the reservation. went this morning when it opened... manager couldn't understand and kept checking their system but as I had my print out they just let me have both of them for £2.50 as stated.... v happy as they're quite good... DD is going to have a great xmas with all the bargains i get from here....

Same happened with me.

I reserved 4 in carlisle as my bro stays there, couldnt get any up here in Glasgow,.

Emailed him reservation, he went in they asked for £11+ for 4. He argued the point that this is the price and he should be paying anymore. Surprise surprise manager called over and he gave them for the £5.
