i ordered 4 of these from the longton store, to give to childrens xmas charity, went through the till and came up at £11 something, but the nice manager there corrected the price to £5.00,
    big thankyou

    That's a great idea.

Does nayone know how I can find out about any charities that would be collecting for Xmas presies for kids? I know there used to be a national one, was it in Boots?

I seem to remember it is through the "This Morning" program and you can take parcels to Boots, think they do it every year? Not sure when it starts

Ask your local Salvation Army. Here in Northern Ireland they do a joint one which is launched by the BBC. Also your local Social Services Department, NSPCC, Women's Aid, Citizen's Advice Bureau or similar organisations should be able to help.
Good on you by the way. Doing the same thing and getting my kids to give them in. Think it's important that they learn to give as well as take. Sanctimonious lecture over.

i had a conversation with argos customer services before. I reserved something in the evening and knew that the next day the price was going up. He said that Argos must sell you at the price that you reserved it at, regardless of what it says in store. Providing you pick it up before the reservation ends. It shouldn't be down to individual manager's discretion, apparently it is an argos 'rule'. I went in the next day and they didn't even query it, I had it at the price i reserved it at.
This must be new, because im sure when iive reserved things in the past its said the price you pay is the store price when you collect it (or something similar) but ive just reserved something and it doesnt say anything, just to use you reservation code instore, so thats good then that you can now get it at the price reserved when it was on offer
  • I picked my 4 i reserved yesterday for £ 5.00 in total:j:j

You need to bring your reserved e-mail and paid at the till.
  • just reserved 2 and it says £2.50 but it isnt giving me a reservation number either on my email or the end page and i havent recieved a text, it says i cant collect until next week, but with no reservation number how can i collect?
