  • I have a few Polish friends and here's what you do...

    You take a pen or something and push it into the Earth hole to release the shutters, then you push your plug into the socket.

    Pretty simple really. No real risk as the thing won't be earthed anyway.

    Enjoy. This is a money savings site afterall. ;)

    What century (and I mean century) is that photo from - looks as if the plug on the right is connected to a rental TV or Video recorder. And how did they get the plug on the left "working" without something in the earth pin socket

    As for "pulling down the shutter", given that the correct adaptor costs £1 why bother?

    Probably both - it looks to me like there are two cables going into that plug. Another money saving tip gratis :)

    You clearly don't understand how plugs work. I'd suggest you stick to shop bought adapters and not try the homemade ones..
