that should show any other people that have applied for credit at the same address as you.
No it wouldn't - as that information is private to those other people.

As has already been stated, one letter has been wrongly delivered/addressed. Its a bit early to be getting carried away with fraud investigations. Open the letter, its probably just spam anyway.

I would open it. If it's something important you can deal with it. If it's junk, you can stop worrying.

No, I'm afraid that's not correct. Your credit report shows linked names. And a name at the same address would be linked.

Far from true. Names are only linked [or should only be linked] if there is a 'financial association' - eg sharing a financial product.

Well, my credit report has always shown other names that are associated with the address. It is how I was able to identify a similar case of fraud.

Open the letter, my D.H is a postman and you can open mail that has your address on yet not your name
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

For years, my parents got letters from Sainsburys for somebody who had never lived at their house. It took over two years to stop the letters and that was only because I eventually contacted the chief executive about it.

I would have just put them in the recycling box but it worried my parents that someone else's post was being sent to their house.
