I have given my parents my old Sky+ box. Its all set up with 2 feeds and an old viewing card so at the moment its used for free to view. My father would like to have the knowledge pack (£19) to try out. Does anyone know if he has to take it for 12 months before i ring them or can he try it for a month?

No, Sky is a 12m contract. The Sky+ functions won't work either without a sub, unless you pay £10pm.No free lunch, and no free laptop

if you reactivate you account for you dad and just take out the knowledge pack then it wouldnt be a 12 month contract, just montly, so dont start a new account for you dad just reactivate your account, you ight even get half price tv for reactivating your old account. or you could do a pay once watch forever thing but their is set up cost and you get it for 4 months but their is no contract0
