PLease help my dad has the blue screen of death

There is no nero ?

Been told it's a WMS idle whatever that is.
Does anyone have a link to a fix I found this one but don't understand where to get the actual download ?

That link points to a Hotfix which was included in service pack 3 for XP , has dad's pc got XP but not service pack 3 ?

Yes he does have xp but not service pack 3

I tried updating via microsoft site its says no downloads needed?

Hi sorry been out :beer: but have looked again ath that link then it points here , and they point at these -
To install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)

• Click here for the steps to fix automatically
• Click here to download the Service Pack 3 manually.

But if you scroll down on the KB article (the first blue here above) look for
Fix it for me


This should work (but hey it's microsoft although for XP the Fixit links seem ok, and often work.)
