Question on insurance for a new business venture

Hi there!
I am looking into starting a business whereby I teach people the ins and outs of landscape photography. However, I have some concerns over what insurance I would need.
What I want to do is to hire a car and drive my workshop participants to the various locations in order to teach them. I realise that I need public liability insurance but what else would I need beyond that?
Thanks for any help!

If you speak to a specialist broker they would be able to help and have access to the appropriate PL policies - e.g. you'd probably want to add on cover for your photography equipment.0

Thanks for that. I've found a broker for a PL. It's the transporting of people that I'm concerned about.
I'm not sure how I get on and whether or not I need insurance. Usually, folks that run photographic workshops say that attendees must have their own travel insurance. Now, whether that is my get out clause I don't know.0 -
You would need to cover your vehicle for business use.
I am unsure as to whether you would need specific cover for carrying in effect "fare paying passengers".
You would also need to cover all your photography equipment and, as you are already aware, public liability.
Also, where would you be doing the classes when not on location, in your own home or do you have a studio/business premesis? If at your home, you need to check your home insurance and any leasehold (if applicable) as many exclude using you home for business purposes.
You need to seek professional advice from a insurance broker, who specialises in business insurance (and one who has experience of photographers needs)
Good luck in your new venture btw, I wish you every success.

Thanks for that. Workshops would be held "on location". I won't be using any premises as the idea is that folks learn in the field. The idea being that it is "landscape photography". Of course, there are some things that could be done in a classroom environment but that is not my goal.
I did call Avis car rental this morning and asked them how it worked. They couldn't do the insurance only third party.0
