I've just returned from Asda with a few tubs of extra special mini merengues, and on closer inspection have noticed that two are out of date, one being 11th Oct 06, and was just wondering what they're refund policy is if anyone knows.
Thanks

i think it says on the board near CS, that on asda products if you are not satisfied they will refund your money and give you a replacement product, or you could ring head office and point this out and i suspect you will get some kind of gesture in the form of a money cardThey've got cars big as bars

I think they would happily refund this. But i'd also say that with this product in specific (and I know it's not the point) is not likely to ever go off, seeing as it is just a lump of sugar!0

ASda are very good with their product guarantees. You will be given a full refulnd ( though sometimes they put it onto a gift card for you) and often give you more money just to say sorry.
sont hesitate to take them back.
I was once at the checkout when someone said they'd bought the birdseye fish bake becasue they'd tried the asdaown brand one last time and it wasnt nice at all.
The checkout asst called over a supervisor and they gave the person a full refund and a gift voucher, even though they didnt have the box or receipt - (perhaps cos there was lots of people who heard the conversation?) nind you I dont think thats normal

Thanks for the replies, I've just got back from Asda. I took back two tubs which were on special offer at 59p each, they gave me £1.18 refund, then said its a 200% guarantee, so gave me another £1.18 and also put £2 on a gift card because I'd had to go back in with them. I actually had to go back up anyway looking for some clothes, so it was no hardship to me. They were really nice and apologetic too, which makes a change as some places the customer services are quite offhand sometimes. Go Asda!!!0

I recently took out of date Peanut Butter (the wholenut type in the green label jar) back to Tesco with receipt. The Use By was 09/06 and I had bought it earlier this month.
They gave me a refund, nothing more.0 -
The date was best before, I know theres a difference, but what by law?0
