This company seem to offer very low prices on pre reg cars. Does anyone have any experience of dealing with them? Finance is compulsory but they're only asking to take a loan for £3000 for 12 months with interest payable of £150 which is reasonable.

Did any of you order a pre reg car through carandfinance.com?
I have just got a very reasonable quote off them but upon speaking to them have found out they hold onto the V5C document for 6 months. They have said that they will give me a copy of this document but that I will not be the registered keeper for 6 months.
I've been on website including what car? who state that this practise is illegal but it is not enforced?

I too am thinking about buying a car from this company and also have seen the advice given by WHATCAR claiming this to be illegal. I intend to ring D.V.L.C. to see what they have to say. The company say that it is not illegal and WHATCAR are giving out incorrect advice.Can anyone give any advice or their experience on this matter?

What is it that What Car? claim this company is doing is illegal?

I know of a finance company that do that and have a spare set of keys for each vehicle. This is cos of the type of people they're dealing with - usually scum who don't pay etc... It's all legal as it's the finance company who own the car until it's paid for.

due to buy acar from carandfinance just abit worried about not getting log book for 6 months any one bought acar from them any info would be apprieated

I took the plunge with this company and it all worked as it should. They were a bit late sending out the registration document. The only thing to watch is if you decide to pay the loan off early do it immediately since the interest is front loaded.

did you not recieve log book for 6 months just found out you donot get it for 6 months they hold it back which infects your insurance seen as you are not registared keeper for 1st 6 months any advice
