Euro Car Parks

:rotfl:I,ve had the usual letters from euro parks regarding an alleged offence on Morrisons car park earlier this year. I haven't replied to any of them as suggested in the forums. Last week I received a letter from contolaccount plc asking me to settle my account. They have just telephoned me (who gave them my number) re this outstanding payment. I said the fine was in dispute and they asked me to put this in writing. I declined and they said it would be passed to their legal dept. - HELP!!!!
I'll add the telephone call to the Excel list in the first post along with the fact it came around 2 months after their last letter to you. How many calls did you receive?

You can just ignore the whole scam, you don't have to talk to them or write to them, Euro never ever take anyone to Court (never have done and IMHO never will).
In the meantime complain to the Morrisons' Store Manager in writing about the aggressive tactics of their private parking co harassing you and phoning you when you were a regular customer of Morrisons parking as needed to do your shopping. Nothing you can have done justifies the PPC pretending they can fine you, then harassing you!
Here are all the current new threads on the board, yours will join them soon when it's moved off the sticky thread about letters:

If they call again say you've read in The Sunday Times that they never ever take anyone to court and never will do.
That'll shut them up.0 -
Legal Department?
AKA another name they are trading against to TRY and get you to believe they have some kind of power or legal status, to which they do not.
It's simple, do not even speak or make contact with these people, ignore them and there fail letters!0 -
Thanks. Only had the one call so far. Hope there's no more.0

I applied for a job at local TOYS SHOP. They wanted to see my birth certificate and NI number copies. I parked my car near the shop, in the retail car park and walked across the road to photo copy my docs. I was back in about 15 minutes to find a penalty ticket on my car for £70. This was from Euro Car Parks. The reason on the ticket states "left car park on foot". This is day light robbery. The time on the ticket is from BLANK to 13.48. I was parked just for half an hour. How can I be charged £70 for this. Please advise whether I have to pay such ridiculous charges. Is it really illegal to walk away from your car park, for a few minutes? Thanks and warm regards. :mad:0

You have not committed an "illegal" act as no law of the land has been broken. We are talking about private parking tickets which come under civil law. You do not owe them a penny. Ignore all correspondence from them and do no contact themWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

You obviously have not read up on this enough yet to realise that you have NOT received a fine and 'legal/illegal' doesn't come into it. These companies have no authority to fine anyone.
You'll understand about this scam with a bit more reading. The ticket is worthless trash, I have one here from Euro Car Parks and the debt collector threatograms which followed. Ignore it like I did.
