You can buy a London Travelcard at a train station booking office and that will cover you for the offers.
You'll need one anyway to get round London.
If you have return train tickets to London then you can use them throughout your stay for the offers, or if single tickets you can use them on the date of travel.0 -
An Anytime Single from Waterloo East to Charing Cross is only £2.00.
Buy from any train station.0 -

also if you have a pair of single tickets days apart ( one to London and one from London) you can use them on the days in between too.0 -
No you can't. Only if you have a return ticket.p00hsticks wrote: »also if you have a pair of single tickets days apart ( one to London and one from London) you can use them on the days in between too.0 -

are you sure???London Underground issued tickets (including Travelcards issued by London Underground ticket offices and agents) are NOT valid and will not be accepted at any attraction.

"London Underground issued tickets..."
That is, all tickets (including travelcards) issued by a London Underground ticket office are not valid for the 2 for 1 offer. Tickets, including London travelcards, issued by a National Rail station ticket office are valid. If the ticket has the National Rail "crow's foot" logo it is valid to use for the offer.
I.e., buy your travelcard from the ticket office at a station such as King's Cross, Liverpool Street, Euston, Victoria that is a National Rail station (all said stations in London are marked on the Tube map with the crow's foot logo), and make sure it has that logo.0 -

You can with Advance Single tickets;
If for example you are buying single tickets, e.g.Advance tickets to London for a one-way journey on a Monday, and Advance tickets for departing London on a Friday you will be able to use the vouchers during the Monday-Friday period, provided you show both outward and return tickets (remember to tell the train company staffs that you need to keep your outward tickets

Thanks to you all for your help.
We are travelling down on National Express coach, so won't have a ticket to London.
We expect to walk a lot, we like to see everything! but do have an Oyster card for a trip to Greenwich that we're planning, so don't need a travel card type thing.
I guess the anytime single from Waterloo East to Charring Cross will be the best bet - does the ticket not have to be TO the venue that you want to visit? I think I'm right in saying we need one each to get the 2 4 1?0 -
Hi We have used these offers several times and although we have travelled by train have never been asked to show our train tickets
BTW you need 1 voucher for every 2 people eg family of 4 will need 2Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -

We have quite frequently - certainly at the Tower of London and on the Thames Clipper boats - in fact at the ticket office at the Tower we were stood behind a couple who presented the lady in the ticket office with one of the vouchers but then couldn't produce the relevant train ticekts when asked and so had to pay full price.0
