John Lewis is issued by HSBC and they will search Experian......and equifax if they can't get all the information needed

Just to make very clear, there seems to be confusion on this thread. John Lewis credit card is run by HSBC.

Likewise if you upset or default on another HSBC card even if your JL card is in good order it will be removed.

A few years ago HSBC ran the Harvey nicholas store card. It is now with Santander. I sort of defaulted on their gold card due to me forgetting about the annual fee. As you can tell this was some time ago.

They removed the Harvey nicks card as well, in a not so polite letter.

Back in the day, it makes me feel so old.
