did asked on another thread but no reply,do anyone know if john lewis's mastercard credit cheak you on equifax

I applied for mine a long time ago , so don't remember (but think it is correct) - they were HFC Bank at the time

First Trust use Equifax only for its basic bank account , so may be the same for credit cards

Sygma are the most well known credit card to use Equifax only

but need to make sure they only search equifax,looked at the sygma cards but dont fancy any of those,john lewis card would benefit me more as i shop at waitrose

been reading these threads for a few months and everyone seems to know who search who,i know it say it on the who uses who thread but can anyone please tell me who john lewis mastercard credit check with

John Lewis card is issued by HSBC, according stoozing.com they search both Experian and Equifax.

i checked the stoozing site but about 5 of them on there are actually wrong,so must be an old table

I don't think that is necessarily accurate - more an assumption that all HSBC cards operate the same procedures

The Partnership card is one of the remaining HFC cards


Isn't Tesco the odd one out as far as RBS cards are concerned ?

I got approved for the Tesco card in Oct i checked my Experian report and they had done a credit search they may also have searched Equifax but as i don't subscribe to them i was unable to check.

Yes - I think you are right

the information I quoted seems to be for loans

There are some anomalies though - like BOI and Post Office using different CRAs

I doubt that anyone here applied for one recently or GM Card

They tend to apply for whatever everyone else going for at the time
