Orange Mobiles

Im in a bit of bother with orange and have no idea what to do, I lost my job about 3 months ago and I have 2 contract mobiles from Orange (One is on a second line).

Now I got behind with the monthly bills (no call charges as I never really used all the free stuff up) which was about 185.00£, I paid this and they reactivated my phones.

Well so im told, only one of the phones has been activated, the master phone (orgianl one) still doesnt work and when I make a call it just says "Calls from this number are not allowed" and then cuts me off. Ive made countless calls to orange to try and get it back on, and every time I speak to someone I get told "oh im really sorry Ive removed the block and your phone will be back on in 24hrs". This was last Monday 8/11/10.

Well a week later and I still have the same problem with the phone, and Im still being told "sorry..blah blah...24hrs", ive given up calling them now. (not forgetting ive rung them every 1-2 hrs, and every 24 hrs)

Is there anyway if I can cancel the contract under failing to provide a service or anything like that, I did try this a few days ago and the woman on the other end said I cant as this problem is under human error so I cant cancel the contract and that im a fool if I think I can.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Dan

  • Just an update, I tried again to chat to the dissconnection team who wont speak to me unless I pay to get out of the contract because according to the lady I was just speaking to Orange not providing me with an out going call service is not inbreach of contract.
  • [SIZE=-1] Try sending an email explaining your problem to Customerservice@orange.co.uk - some people have had better luck using this route. Make sure you get a send/read receipt. At least the next time you contact them there is something down in writing that can't be ignored
