Hi guys
Hoping this is in the right place please tell me if not.
Looking for a bit of advice. I moved out of my parents house 3 years ago but left the broadband connection and phone line set up in my name so they could continue to have access (they've been paying me for it). Its a bit of a pain with cashflow so really want to get it set up in their names but not sure how to go about it.
Anyone know if its as simple as getting a MAC code and giving it to them to make an application with a new company (current is pipex and not great) or would the new application have to be in my name (the same as the MAC is registered).
Alternatively, I would guess i'd just need to cancel it all and them start again - leaving them without internet for a while?
Or any other suggestions?
Many thanks in advance
SM

A MAC is used for migrating from one supplier to another on the same line. Nothing to do with changing the name on the account, or moving the service to another number. No free lunch, and no free laptop
