Freesat

We have just cancelled Sky and changed to Freesat, but I noticed it does not show the chanel 'Yesterday' or 'History' and Freeview does.

Is it possible to get Freesat using my Sky box, or do we need a new arial just for Freeview?

Thanks for any help any one can give.

The only way to get Yesterday free, is via Freeview which is via a TV aerial.

Not sure how you watch History for free?.

You can't get Freesat on a Sky box, you can onty get Freesat from Sky. Similar channel line up, but not identical.
You don't necessarily need a new aerial for Freeview (no such thing as a digital aerial), but you will probably need a correctly aligned rooftop aerial-what do you have at present?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

No aerial, just a satalite dish.

We have the Sky box of course and looking at the channel list we printed out, we appear to have Freesat?

OK, so for Freeview you will need a roof top aerial installing.
With a Sky box you will get the Sky non-subscription channels (which they confusingly called 'Freesat from Sky' in order to try and confuse potential Freesat users). As previously stated, these are similar but not identical. It's a different platform.

Is there much of a difference between the two?

    Hi.

You could try https://www.tvcatchup.com. There are several channels including History, which I think is now called Yesterday, for free on your PC or Laptop.

    Regards.

As I said, similar. I suggest you go to the Freesat website and compare their channel list to the one you say you already have from Sky.
