  • Tooch - Those shelves look nice and/or to prevent build up of dust how about some clear storage boxes to pop things in.. much easier to dust than lots of bottles/tubs etc.

    Just a thought.

Well I have worked hard today and am very pleased with the results!! My bedroom has never looked so good!! The only thing I couldn't do was put the hoover round which I'm not meant to do until Friday!!!(6 weeks post op then ) so I shall hoover on Friday!!! I have de cluttered a major hot spot, dusted and tidied and cleaned the dressing table, dusted the bookcase and EVEN dusted one of the under bed drawer units and sorted out the stuff in it yay yay yay yay!!

It was pouring all day so I didn't manage to get to the charity shop OR sort the garage :( so will hopefully do those jobs tomorrow, but only if it isn't raining AND I manage to actually get to sleep because I am at work at 1pm!!!

    So nighty night all!!!

(Grab a hug, spoon or kick up the rear on your way out!!)
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

Mudders that's something I would do lol
Kazm nice to see you're keeping with it :) hope headache goes soon x x
sexymouse I like the mystery object game too but my boys are tired of it now.....must think of another! Awwww little yr1s awwwww!!!
    uropachild well done, awwww!!!
poohbear have you had much snow? I did have a peek on the cameras the other day and could see a white hill on one
sockdrawer no probs, it's in my 'bank of useful stuff' as I use it a lot for us and others :) all I ask is people keep it in their 'place for useful websites' and pass it on to the next person in need. Same with anything, that's how parents find things!
    tooch I like those

I'm feeling a little odd today, chaotic meeting but got a very unexpected present for some of the work I have been doing. Value of £200 in vouchers which is a LOT. I don't want to appear ungrateful but part of me was hoping the work wouldn't need to be a 'long term' sole responsibility, I've spent a lot of time on it so far and the gift may be for that.....so I might have to discuss the gift before accepting it. I'm not being ungrateful but don't want to feel pressured into doing it forever. Anyway nice all the same for efforts to be recognised.

I've managed to put another 2 sacks of clothes away for the boys, folded all that was dry until the load I have just pulled out but my shoulders giving me grief so it will have to wait until tomorrow. I do have a clear kitchen bench now :) Made a nice chinese for tea, with a few 'extras' showing DP it can be healthier and cheaper (GP referred him to dietician today) as even with the extras it was still half the price of a take out, for both of us and not swimming in grease. He's taking some convincing out of some nasty habits he's collected lately but I am getting there.

Done 2 more washer loads, just waiting for TD to finish with one then I think I will be off to bed as I feel shattered

Oh I won't be around in the morning, school run, off to complete a grant application for DPs club then we're off to DS1s first review at his new mainstream school so we could do with a few 'all is going well' vibes!!!! You don't need to post saying you will, I know some are too busy but would appreciate being in your thoughts as it's took a LOT to come this far and I am hoping they agree to him staying there. He'd be so upset if he had to go back to special school. Thanks you x x x x x
One day I might be more organised...........

I have done very little today except make dinner and clear some of the toys off the living room floor. I haven't felt dizzy for a couple of hours now so I might do something quickly before I go to bed.

DW is on (thanks to DH!) so kitchen isn't too bad, lunches for DS and DH are already done as I made lots of pasta salad last night (both actually ate it all so I must have done something right!) I'm refusing to buy cereal bars anymore as DH and DS get through a pack in a day, even the Basics ones add up when we get through that many! I've started making some myself, full of seeds, raisins, cranberries and a handful of chocolate chips (so they think they are getting a treat :rotfl:) and these have been a huge hit so far, and are really quick to make.

I will be very glad when DS starts having school dinners again on Monday (I forgot to order in time so he's had to miss 2 weeks) His school are really strict about packed lunches and making sure his is completely healthy and acceptable every day has really been stressing me out. It's frustrating as I am perfectly capable of deciding what my own child can eat. He eats porridge with dried fruit followed by a banana for breakfast every day, and we always have a healthy homemade dinner with plenty of veg - therefore if I want to send in a cake or a few crisps with his lunch then I don't want to be made to feel guilty about it! It's especially annoying as he often gets a chocolate muffin or a cookie as pudding with his school dinner!!

I have promised him that he can go back to packed lunches after Christmas so in the meantime will be looking out for ideas of things I can make in bulk & freeze.

I suppose I should get off my backside and do a little flying on the way to bed :A
