Depends on what you want the phone to do. Seems obvious (make calls right?) but what else do you want it to do?

I would go into a few stores and ask to have a hold/feel of some for build quality. Then hit youtube for reviews on the ones you like so you can see their OS/software in action.

I currently have an iPhone 4 (software update fixed all issues except the signal drop - can be remedied with a bumper case) and a Blackberry Curve (work issued).

For e-mails the blackberry trounces everything else I have ever used.

For everything else I could want to do with a phone the iPhone trounces everything else I have ever used.

the Google Nexus S will be the king of android phones when it is released in the weeks to come.
  • I love my T-Mobile G2 Touch (aka HTC Hero), I've had it for a year now and would recommend anything with Android 2.1 or above. I usually charge mine every night but I can get two days out of it, at a push.

Whilst it isn't quite as slick as iPhones, Android works just as well. The HTC 'front-end' (Sense?) makes things just that little bit easier too.

I haven't decided what my next phone will be yet but I'm quite sure that it will be something along the lines of the HTC Desire.

I've had my Desire since launch and the quality seems excellent. Solid, reliable, looks and feels 'right'. And it works perfectly. Not aware of any quality issues with Android phones.

  • I have had an iPhone for over 12 months now and can not fault them. Everything from the conectivity to the apps are amazing even the Apple stores are helpful beyond beleif, plus I get TV on my phone (Freeview and Sky Sports) for free. The latter being a promo offer for 3 months. I am however due an upgrade and have been looking at the new Nokia N8. HTC if they do go wrong are hard to deal with I beleive but thats just hearsay so dont quote me on that.

  • Just get the iPhone, make sure it's the 4. I have one and it's amazing..
