Hi everyone,
Could anybody help me with this. I have just ordered a Blackberry Curve from Carphone Warehouse on Orange at £129 payg for my daughter for Christmas.
First off - She want's it on 02 really, but its £200 with 02. Could I get a brand new phone unlocked and if so, how would I go about this.
Also, it's a 3gb phone, but she wants a 16gb memory card which I have ordered, will this be ok for this phone.
Sorry to be a bit thick but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards

I'm not sure how it works with the Blackberry, but in the past I have heard that all phones fron CPW come unlocked, even if when you buy them they are meant to be tied to a network? Maybe someone else with more expertise can clarify?0

If its the Curve 8520 it will take up to 32gb Micro SD card.0

It's a piece of cake to unlock a Blackberry, first, if the IMEI number has an 03 or 04 in the middle, it's a handset with new security. You'll need to pay for the code and the place I always use is here. I'm not in anyway connected to this site but his codes have ALWAYS worked for me.

Remember to check your IMEI number first as you'll probably need a new security type code. The number will be on your box or you can press *#06#
You then need to unlock the sim lock using the following advice.

Hope this helps you :-)"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

I have had phones from Carphone warehouse before and the sales assistant told me just to buy the cheapest one and put my own SIM in as they are all unlocked. Not sure if that is still the case....0

You will need to make sure that she is on an o2 blackberry plan or add the blackberry bolt on to receive all the blackberry services. I was told that this is £7.50 per month but looking at the o2 website it looks like £5 per month
