British Gas Click Energy 4 - Changed tarrif without my knowledge ?

Hi,

I joined BG on Click Energy 4 in Early 2008 which my bills have always mentioned

Looking at October bill and it now mentions "Standard" instead

I am not sure what to stick into the comparison sites

My last bills looks like this, which looks like something happen 01st August.

Did click energy 4 have a limit life? and what do I now use for comparison sites?

    Your tariff period has come to an end, and as you haven't advised otherwise you have been switched to the standard (most expensive) tariff. They would normally write to you or email you to advise of the period ending

    Was the click Energy a limited life product? I cant find anything staying it was...

    Click Energy 4 is for customers who agree to manage their bills online and take paperless billing. We reserve the right to transfer you onto our current standard variable rates if you fail to sign up to online account management and paperless billing within the first 6 weeks of coming onto supply with us and/or signing up to the Click Energy 4 product from us.

    Did you maybe breach this condition?
    Otherwise speak to BG.

  • I am on click 6 - just had an email notifying me of the price increase and also saying click 6 ends June 2011. Like poster I thought this tarrif was also ongoing and not limited, I'm paperless and manage everything online.

    As of this year every BG tariff now has an end date which customers should have been / shoul be being made aware of, its down to new reuglations from ofgem introduced earlier this year.

    Typical! Thanks a lot Ofgem - BG sent me a letter too advising of June end date to Click6...

    I didnt get a letter but happened to notice it in the messages bit of online billing, now just trying to work out who to go to because Im not paying BG standard tariff rate!!!!
