I feel another recipe coming on...... please PN?
Get a small microwavable dish.
Get a slightly rounded spoon of buttery/marg stuff and microwave it until it's melted - I tend to stir it and wiggle it about a few times during the process.
Get a slightly rounded spoon of flour and mix it into the melted buttery/marg stuff. I use a fork for this. I just plonk the flour in, then with the fork flat against the bottom of the dish I just move it rapidly around and there's no lumps.
Add in some milk - probably 3 spoonfulls. Use the fork again to smash it all together.
Bung it back into the microwave. Nuke for about a minute, then remove and give it a good forking again. Repeat this 2-3x and it'll be thickening (these times I'd do it for 30-40 seconds a time so it stays smooth). Chuck in the cheese and cover it with the white sauce.
Nuke the cheese sauce for about 30 seconds. Then just keep removing it and forking it until the cheese has melted. Serve/pour.
It's all rough and ready, no measuring required. Just go by what it looks like0 -

So it's just like the 'saucepan' recipe but quck 'n easy, with no lumps or sticking to the pan.
Sounds great! I'll be onto that pronto.
Cheers x0 -

Also, for making small quantities, it's easier because there are few saucepans small enough, but loads of dishes you can use in the microwave that are tiny.
To make this I usually use a completely round dish saved from a chilled meal bought at a supermarket.0 -
I've got one of those travel water heating element thingies (can't post URL, google "cup heating element") and it's not bad at heating a mug of water for tea. It's basically the electrics in the kettle without a switch or the shell, useful if your flat is too small to swing a ket-tle in. *Bdumtish*0

Just found this, that I didn't know existed. Tefal One Cup - instant hot water on demand (3 seconds).

Says out of stock and there's a newer version, which looks bigger. Might be perfect for older people though that can't safely pick up kettles.
