Excellent, thanks was beginning to worry that my options would be limited by not having a greenhouse or any shelter for veg:) xGrocery Challange for DH, Me & 2 Fussy Cats (inc Grocerys, Cleaning Products & Cat Food)G/C -May £177.04/£235.00 Apr £237.79/£235.00 Mar £226.16 /£235.00G/C - Jan £248.52/£235.00 - Feb£214.72/£235.00NSD -May 3/31 Apr 10/30 Mar 3/31 Feb 6/28 NSD Jan 3/310 -

I don't know about strawberries, but rhubarb's a doddle. Get a crown. Plant it. Wait. Make a pie. Eat it. Chuck some manure at it in the winter. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

garages are a good source of empty plastic oil barrels (good scrub required). I reckon for the same space as a growbag holding 6 plants, you could have a barrel holding 20-30.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

Just the same as strawbs really. Except I have cream and sugar not pie.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

How much room have you actually got? Are you really limited to just tubs? How about ditching the flowers in the borders and planting fruit & veg instead? Could you squeeze a gooseberry bush in somewhere?
P.S. Rhubarb's actually a vegetable. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I have a gooseberry bush in a big planting tub and it's growing really vigorously! So do try fruit in containers if you are stuck!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790
