Good non-cashback deal?

Hi, anyone can suggest a good non-cashback deal? Find the whole process too troublesome and risky.

I'm not a heavy user, so just looking for one with at about 100 anytime cross-network minutes and 100 texts. Possible to get it for less than 10 quid a month?

  • ReestitMutton's site has details of the genuine "3" half price deals. The 300 mins and 1000 texts for £15pm might suit you...

...and then the window licker said to me...

Thanks fellas, I forgot to mention that I was looking for one with a 12 month contract, not an 18 month one as I will only be here for a year of studies.

Any hope of such a deal?

    Sam
  • Sam -hope you dont me butting in - but I am looking for exactly the same sort of deal - have you decided yet? I am a complete idiot at all things techno and phones come into that cat. I just want something simple - and not much money and not a lot of minutes either - jsut x mins and some text! Please could you say what you decided to do. I am looking at this god site by reesitmutton - not sure which one tho .... oh dear! Hope you sort something out. Maggie

Although not a heavy user, I wanted a new phone. I went to O2 via Quidco cos I hate faffing about with cashback. I got a Samsung D900 with bluetooth and 100 mins X net 500 txts for £25. I get £35 back through Quidco so the deal works out at £22 per month (I will never go over the allowance

ps By the way it's one of a very few 12 MONTH contracts I could find. I am a happy bunny :j :j

  • Mazdamansport - did you look at 3's offer - £15 line rentla - half price - 300 mins and 1000 text - but the phone was reconditioned ..... I keep looking at it cos the rental is only 15 pounds - does it matter about a new phone? I am only asking cos I am a geek about all this - I just need something inexpensive and I have spent ages on this site - just when I see something interesting - someone writes something worrying about it. 100 mins cross text does not seem like a lot - but am i missing something with all these deals which are poss too good to be true??? 18 months, £15 line rental - 300/600 mins, 1000/2000 text (who on earth is going to use that many??) etc etc!! Help! Thanks
  • MaggieMoon,
there's a sticky thread about "3" and as I've never been on the network I can't comment on them. Have a read through the thread and see other's views.

I would be less inclined to go for ANY reconditioned unit that ties me in for 18 Months, after a 12 mth contract I normally sell the phone on E bay to make a little more money. I know I can sell that phone with total confidence as it was new when I got it. I am unconvinced about the support with 3 thats why I left their £15 deal alone. If anything goes wrong in your life that prevents you from paying up an 18 mth contract 12 mths seems a bit less painful. The anytime minutes/txts are all down to your own usage. It suits me to have 100 min/500txt (time/experience has shown that the deal is right or my usage) O2 seem to have a fairly good standing compared with other networks (based on threads posted on MSE) I use O2 for my works phone also so coverage is also good for me. To summarise, its mainly 12 mth v 18 mth I hope my comments help, You can PM me if it helps you

But wouldn't you be paying more for the 12 months @ £25 than you would pay for the three deal for 18 months @ £15...
