Me my daughter and 2 friends went to see step up at notts last nite we ended up right at the front and this was the fullest i had ever seen a free preview, but we all loved it, thought it was great and drooled over the male lead, yes predictable and very like save the last dance along those lines but still a great film, but hey if we all had the same taste life would be very boring dont u think.

hiya- can you please tell me how i can get hold of movie tix in Milton Keynes?
    thanks alot!

Check the 'Free Cinema Tickets' thread regularly, and apply for tickets using the codes posted by kind fellow MSErs. ;) I don't know whether there are still tickets available for 'A Good Year' (tonight) - you may want to check this out. ;)

Of course, you can register with Seefilmfirst or Momentum yourself. These companies may send you codes for free screenings from time to time:

    http://www.seefilmfirst.com/webuser.register.action?destination=4

    http://www.momentumscreenings.co.uk/cgi-bin/film.cgi?Wish=FFFF0050002000006A0EB3DD

Once again, don't forget to check the 'Cinema Tickets' thread regularly. Sometimes there are offers from other companies, offers in the newspapers etc., and you can find out all about these from the above thread. ;)

I went to Borat last night.
I was very suprised at the security.
They were taking mobile phones off people although they didn't take my Nokia 3210 saying "Madam that's what we call a classic model :-))))))))))"

I was very suprised to see security occassionally watching people with binoculars during the screening (and no I don't have a paranoid disorder they really were).

LOL - They said to us they were only confiscating mobiles 'with a camera'! I saw Borat lastnight too in brighton...cinema was close to full which was nice and enjoyed the film a lot. Thanks MSE's!

  • I went to see Borat last night in E Kilbride and we too had our bags searched and there was a few security people about on the doors the whole duration of the film, strange as the week before we went to the same cinema to:D see last kiss and they never even checked my print out:p , but just realised i think last kiss was the preview screening from monumetnal pictures and borat was from see film first, so maybe different companies have different policies, probably to stop people videoing the films as they haven't been released yet.

This is to stop piracy the film isn't released untill next month, roughly 2 weeks left, they don't want it to end up on the net before the official release date, hense the strict security.

Was at east kilbride as well and been to a few preview screenings and never seen anything like it. 2 rock steady security guards turning off mobiles and searching bags but was well worth it as the film was the funniest thing I'd seen in ages. Talk about a fight scene, lol.
  • Same thing Happened at Cardiff Borat & History Boys Screenings a few weeks ago

No confiscation of Mobiles But the "Heavies" at the Door made us show that our Mobiles were switched off

Did not search our Bags though

And I did notice them Popping in to Check out the Crowd during the Movies...No Binoculars to be seen

Although Cannot think of Any Mobile Phone that could Sucessfully store nearly 2 hours of Video ...or maybe I have not looked hard enough.

And just imagine how much your arm would ache :)
