I like it just the way it is. Cooking from scratch is pretty OS imo."Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.

I vote to keep it as it is
I initially came on this board for recipe/cooking tips ... but have frequently stumbled across other gems such as cleaning tips ... budget shopping tips and sewing etc which I wouldn't have if it were segregated
Plus I think you shorten your chances of getting more replies to threads if the boards are split .... there might be a cleaning guru out there who just happens to have a fantastic recipe you're looking for!
More brains = better more varied board in my opinion

No. It was bad enough when they split off the Food Shopping & Groceries bit. I have enough trouble finding things as it is.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

For me as a long term lurker the BG's do a great job of ensuring that the indexes and threads are updated all of the time (honestly I dont know where they find the time!) and having a child board on one of my own boards it does make it more complicated to monitor what everyone is doing and just where should a thread go!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0

Fair enough, then. It's just that the majority of recipes seem to have nothing old style about them, unless everyone thinks it's really old style to cook/make your own food, something I've done all my life.If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0

For more and more people that is old style  if it doesnt go in the mircrowave or come out of a packet then they dont know what to do with it........sad but true.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
Oh dear, I guess I should stop considering myself middle-aged, and start calling myself antique then!If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0

Yes, I agree. My DS's friends come to visit, they all love my Twinks and think my lads are lucky. I live in an area which is quite deprived, high unemployment but it completely shocks me when I see people queuing up outside the chippy waiting for it to open. This is both at lunchtime and night-time.
It's so shocking because most of these people are time rich yet money and health 'poor'. I've cooked all my life too and can't stand the artificial taste in most bought sauces, cakes etc. I'd love to be able to do simple cookery lessons here but I've found out that the council was offering these classes at a very low cost (free for those on benefits) and not one of the people who took up the course was from the group being targetted "Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.

Hi
Another vote to stay as it is.:)Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
I want to keep it as it is, but I agree that sometimes it is difficult to find the recipes if you are a newbie. Maybe there could be a separate sticky at the top for recipes only?Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
