Use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.50 Public Beta

It's quite a bit faster for me

    Full scan 117minutes>89minutes
    Quick scan 17minutes>10minutes

    No apparent bugs.

Due for Public release early December 2010

It auto blocks ALL scripts on ALL websites

you need to right click the S symbol and 'allow' whichever script is needed

If using Windows you can not do better than Microsoft Security Essentials. Forget the old prejudices about MS, this is the business. Recommended by the vast majority of knowledgeable techies.

Yes you can, and nothing to do with prejudices, AVAST and avira are both free too, have better detection rates, are faster and less bloated.

What a load of rubbish. You are just the ill educated sort I mean when I say prejudice. Have you used Microsoft Security Essentials with Windows?
Have you read reviews on proper techie sites rather than "anyone can post" sites? If ignorance is bliss you must be in paradise.
Stop slagging off posts bully boy. Everyone has a right to an opinion, even your sort.

    I'm prepared to be educated

    yes

    proper techie sites, do elaborate.

Everyone does have a right to an opinion, but if you post you cannot do better than xx without any evidence to back it up, expect it to be challenged if others disagree.

The number of posts does not prove your value. In your case it proves that you, along with some others, simply blather on about any old rubbish and contribute nothing. On the rare occasion a sensible comment may be made it is probably taken from someone else or random chance. After all infinite monkeys and time etc'. There are those here with a large post count who do contribute greatly, you are not one. Your posts here prove my point. You are racking up your score.

Not sure what all the cheap point scoring is about, but personally on the machines I have at home I have a mixture of Avast and MS Security Essentials, both seem okay. I would hesitate to say one is better than the other although my preference is for Avast.

I think you'll find in the last round of AV comparisons that MSE had slipped down a bit in the rankings...also, in comparison to avira and avast, it's bloated in terms of system resources and slows your ping times too.....
