Christmas Markets
NotreDame

Does anyone know of any good Christmas markets in England. Looking for somewhere with a bit of Christmas magic, possibly early December, with carol singers, roast chestnuts, mulled wine, nice gifts etc.
Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions.

Last year in Gloucester we had a german market for the whole of december which was pretty nice and they also built an out door ice rink too. I am not sure if this is happening again this year but I will find out for you. And will post it here.0

Its a brilliant market, going from the town centre all the way up the hill to the Cathedral, very festive. A must for those who haven't tried:beer:"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -
I know its not very near to you but they have a lovely event in Dunster near Minehead called 'Dunster by CAndlelight' They open the shops late, everyone dresses up, they have carol singers, victorian style entertainment and the castle is all lit up as a backdrop. The shops are really nice little gift shops rather than lots of chainstores. It always feels really christmassy and olde worlde!

Manchester's is fantastic and big. Spread out over two parts of town but quite close to each other. I have never seen carol singers but do go at quiet time of the week. Loadsa hot food and beer tents etc. My hubby and I go every year since we met as a tradition. I was 40 weeks pregnant three years ago and still had to go. Got MIL to babysit youngest(2months old) last year so we could take DD!Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

It's Lincoln's 25th year abd they are promising something very special, book a hotel if possible now since it's very easy to get caught up in the Christmas spirit which is generally mulled wine!
Hope you find one ana have a great time.0 -
Bath have a Christmas market.

I'm going to the one in Covent Garden this year, it is meant to be really good!
A few years ago we went to the Christmas markets in Cologne and they were fantastic! Would love to go back one day!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
