Orange Free Broadband and My Existing Contract

Ok so I want to cut my broad band bill down paying about £20 with BT and already have wireless router etc, have seen the free orange broadband offer (yes I know it has a 2GB cap but i dont do much downloading and can always download large files at work and bring them home on a flash drive)

I am currently 19 months into my 24 month contract and as far as I understand I will have have to commit to a further 24 months and increase to a price plan that is £30 a month (currently mine is about £28) this is all fine for me the only concern I have is if I will still be able to get a free handset upgrade as mine is getting a bit tatty, will I have to wait another 24 months to get my handset upgrade or do you think I should be able to wangle a free upgrade on commiting to the new contract???

What are peoples experiences with orange doing a deal like this? Has anybody else done similar when getting a new contract to get the broadband? Otherwise I'm going to have to wait until i'm in the last 3 months of my current deal which means another 2-3 months but I would like to get off BT asap and get on the orange free service.

Please money saving experts advise me

Thanks

Are you currently with Orange then? If so ring them up and see what the situation is.

I have just upgraded my phone to a contract worth £30 so I got the free broadband - we were already with Orange/Wanadoo/Freeserve so was pointless paying out for my contract aswell as broadband.

The Orange site has more info for if you are currently in a contract.

I think the best thing for you to do is see what they can do
