Yes it is still on in Sunderland, I called in at lunch time and they had just put a load of shoes, jeans and sweat top out. Plenty of stuff left at £1 & £2.

Fletty, don't worry you are not missing much. I work near there so decided tp pop in, lots of people there, but to honest there was nothing in there I would buy. I did pick up some baby clothes including a dress I had seen in Matalan (non-clearance store) a week ago, it was £12, reduced to £6, but went through the till at £1 !!!! Got an adorable little Christmas pudding outfit too, that too went through for £1. Apart from that, I didn't really see much worth having even if it was £1. Worth a look though if you like Matalan, just wish they had more home stuff.

It is really not worth it? I mean in terms of womenswear... I've been on their site and been to their normal store once before, and their stuff is okay/decent. However, not sure what their clearance stores are like and if their womenswear there reflect this? Can you let me know asap as I'm planning on going to the wood green clearance one tomorrow.

Also, all other opinions are welcome, as not sure whether the train journey will be worth it or not. So would love to know what everyone thinks on their womenswear in the clearance stores.. does it reflect the range that they have on their site, or is it just useless stuff?

I've just come back from the Sunderland branch and spent a happy hour and a half rummaging.
If you are a size 8 or 10 there's loads of stuff, a fair bit of size 20. Other sizes are there but you have to hunt.
Found 4 pairs of size 3 shoes that fit, and I like them, which is (almost) unheard of. There seemed to be more size 3s than any other size.

I never been in Matalan before so I don't know if the range is the same as the shop have at the moment but I'd guess at it being summer stock.
Nearly all clothes of one sort and another, very little housewear.

Happily spent £14 and came out with a VERY big bag full.

Blythswood near Glasgow has a lot of high shoes sizes 7 & 8 and lots of 8-10 ladies clothes. There are rails of gents Easy jeans and t-shirts in mixed sizes. There are other sizes but the reduced stock seems to be getting quite low. Most of the Rogers and Rogers that is left is not in the sale.

I went on tue and spent £24.50 and came away with 17 items. I got jeans for £1-2 each. Even if they are not your style, to walk the dog/casual days, for a pound you can't complain. Got 4 light jumpers in dif colours for £4. As long as you have an open mind and don't mind looking around, you can get some bargains.
