Matalan Clearance Store Bargains

I called in to the Matalan Clearance Store on Wessington Way Sunderland this morning, they are selling most of the clothes and shoes for £1 and £2. I bought loads of modern high heel shoes for the girls in the family for £1 a pair. Jumpers, jeans, dresses etc all £1 & £2.

I love that store! I haven't been for a few weeks but you can get so many things for under a fiver. They are pretty small sizes thou. If you are 8-12 its ideal but any size about that you may struggle to find anything.

ooo The last time I went I bought about 8 pairs of shoes and a pair of boots for £15 OH wasn't happy about the shoes untill I told him the price lol. Will be going over tomorrow after dragging the kids out of bed!!

Let me know what times you are all going and i'll get there first he he he. Nah just joking. Does anyone find that the aisle at the checkout gets you every time? I got 3 baker caps in the summer for 10p, 29p and £1. I hardly ever go in the normal matalan shop now.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding out where the matalan clearance stores are? I know we have a biggish Matalan here in Notts, but a clearance store I am not sure of.. Thanks xx

I had never heard of them before but according to Wiki:
"At current, Matalan has clearance stores in Blythswood, Newport, Wood Green (London), Wolverhampton, and Sunderland. There are also stores in Portadown and Swindon, however these are both due to close shortly."

Sorry I didn't get back to you a bit quicker. Yes there was loads of baby/childrens clothes left when I was there. I am actually thinking of going back this morning to have another look as one of the staff was telling me that they had loads of pallets of clothing and shoes at the back ready to put out for today. Good luck and tell me how you got on.
