In our house we have blue jobs and pink jobs. Yes, it sounds all very silly but it's a running joke. The blue jobs are things like take in the logs and coal for our wood burning stove, all electrical/plumbing maint jobs that need doing and general "hard" work out in the garden. Pink jobs are those around the house. Problem in our house is that DH was soo well trained by his mum in the art of using bleach that he does loads of the pink jobs so they are kinda pinkyblueish!!! :rotfl:

In our house man jobs are all the ones I don't like.

I presume the key issue is the way it is presented. It can be presented in a way which implies that anyone having children over 35 is irresponsible and putting their child at unnecessary risk. I'm sure there are lots of people who choose to delay having children for career/materialistic reasons but the media can give the impression that everybody having children over a certain age is doing so for those reasons which is understandably upsetting for those who took that long to conceive or hadn't found the right person etc.

Consultant care must vary significantly. Mine consisted of three appointments (would have had a fourth if I'd gone post dates) and the 36 weeks one was with a registrar who wrote "feeling much better now" when I said, "I'm still being sick".

I've gone totally off curry at the moment which is unfortunate as I'm sure there are at least a dozen in the freezer.

If anyone is interested Ive chosen my food for tonight already, Surf and Steer Main (Rump Steak with Scampi) with chips and peas and a treacle sponge pudding with custard for dessert.....yummy!!

My sister texted me earlier to tell me she is pregnant with no 2!! I'm so excited! :j Although she has to go through that worrying 3 month wait now..I don't envy her that.
