ladylegs, pukkamum and Merfe I have just read your stories and you are all very brave Mummies. I have tears in my eyes (trying to hold them back :o). Well done and so jealous you're getting your mummy cuddles :)

I'm 22+1, that head bit is interesting all her measurements were below average except her head which was slightly bigger than average.
She's 2.5 now and still small for her age but all in proportion, how is yours and your friends baby doing now, are they still a bit small for their age?
IUGR babies tend to catch up by the age of 2 I was told. My DS is around 50th centile for height but 9th with weight. He had reflux as a baby so his weight is probably down to that and genetics rather than IUGR. My friends baby is nearly 3, he's quite short but fine weight. I'd put that down to genetics too.
There are other signs of IUGR- often there is less amniotic fluid than what should be and this can be picked up on a scan.

How is your DS now Lwcus?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi Krystal, he's getting better, just has good spells and bad spells. He's still on meds at high dose but at least its controlling the reflux now. We're hoping he'll grow out of it in the next yr or so. He's stil up in the night lots with pain most nights. But so much better than he was. He's also got cerebral palsy but we feel very lucky that he is able to walk at all, its very mild with him, just a slightlt abnormal gait but not everyone notices. He's a lovely, cheeky little monkey and I wouldn't change him one bit!

Hope A and K are ok with you.

Thanks for the info, there was about a tablespoon of fluid when my waters broke I rang to say they'd gone and they said they couldn't have there'd be more than that. A day and a half later when I was induced they were suprised to find they'd gone and asked why I hadn't told them
I think I'll have to do some research and make a list of questions for Tuesday.

Just checked and she's on the 97th centile for height and weight I've told her she'll be small and pretty just like Kylie!, I just pray she gets over 5 foot

Sitting watching children in need, keep bursting into tears watching all the VT's of the kids. Glad no ones here to see.

I also read the last few birth stories. Ladylegs I can't believe you had to go through so much. You seem really strong to get through it. I take my hat off to you.

Looks like I'm having one of each lol. I'm carrying high but no MS, craving salty stuff, especially cheese but had a huge craving for fruit and orange juice. A few other things im having both.

The Chinese calendar was right with my last 2 and says this is a girl.

I was speaking to a girl today who got told she was having a girl at her 20 w scan then had a boy! She was devastated as she had her head around having a girl ( she has 2 other boys) plus she had loads of pink stuff.

I havnt had my scan yet and really wanted to know so I could be more organised but now I'm nog sure I'd trust it. I don't mind what I have, just want to get sorted.
