    Hello everyone,

Dissapointing to see no announcements yet!

Me and my Mum went to pick up my travel system today and carseat. Have just spent ages at my Mums playing about with it, is so complicated! Sure I will get the hang though.

What one did you get? :)

Oh, I was going to ask, I know it's the 'traditional' thing to keep the buggy somewhere other than at home (superstition?), and ours is at the grandparent's house. But is it OK to keep the cot at home? TBH we probably haven't got enough room to store it here anyway, and will be moving before we assemble it, so it prob will go to grandparents as well, but is there any superstition attached to the cot?
Also, when do people tend to set the cot up? We can't do it yet anyway, as I say we're moving, and will most probably want to paint the room before starting the nursery :D

I can't find the most reason list of who's due when, so don't know if its already been announced, but if you're on the mse facebook page, you'll see an old post from someone and her profile pic shows a new edition. Not giving anything else away as i'm sure she'll want to announce herself ;-)
Thats quite cryptic isn't it? Sorry

Digital - I got the Silvercross 3d system. Really like it so far but we will see!

I don't think it is supersticious to have cot in house before, have never heard that anyway and is a bit big to cart from one place to another! All these stupid supersticions!

    Yay we're back :D

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering with insomnia at the moment. I have had a couple of nights where I've found it difficult to drop off but I don't get up again as I know if I do I won't get any sleep whereas if I stay in the bed I at least might get some 'pretend' sleep (the kind where you are kind of half asleep half awake). I have started using a special pillow spray which has essential oils and stuff that aid sleep - I think it's helping a bit might be worth a try?

Pixie - good luck with the job :) I think you did the right thing not saying anything after all they don't really need to know at this point in time. If they offer you the job then you can think about whenn you'd want to let them know - it seems like you have got a plan in place so fingers crossed you get it :)

Our families haven't asked us if we need anything at all so we've just got on with buying stuff as we can't wait forever as we need it ready for when baby arrives. A few friends have asked me if there is anything we need but I feel a bit funny telling them we need this, that or the other as you never really know how much someone is able to afford if they want to buy you something. Not that I expect anyone to buy us anything but when someone asks if there is anything you need I think thats usually why they are asking.

Sammy sorry to hear you and your OH are both porly. There are so many bugs going round at the moment :( hope you are both feeling better soon. Get well vibes to anyone else feeling icky at the moment.

Am 31 weeks today :j in the final stretch now - bump picture to celebrate.....

OH is off out tonight as he has a DJ booking in London so I get the remote control to myself. Got a load of clothes to list on Ebay - have had a sort out of my maternity stuff as am finding certain things are staple favourites and others I'm just not wearing so have decided to get them all listed.

Got to go looks like the cat wants a cuddle :rotfl:

I've told him I'm not mentioning another word to him about anything to do with baby!......well until the morning when I remind him to get me a gym ball from Tescos.;):D

Did you get your gym ball? I can't believe I never got one before yesterday. It's been soooo helpful with my BH and for getting me to sit better. A few minutes sitting on it seems to ease things a lot. And for that price, I'm well happy :)

Hitchins - hope the tooth is feeling better soon. Go to the dentist soon. It may be that they can do the filling without anasthetic. I always have mine done without, and the last 2 didn't hurt at all. Or maybe they can suggest something you can do to ease the pain until after the birth. My dentist isn't NHS, but they gave me 25% off the normal price as I'm preggers which was lovely of them.

Can't remember what else I was going to say......ermmmm.........nope, it's gone.

Ahhh well, appropriate vibes to everyone.

Hitchins, with regards to fillings. When i was pregnant with dd, it wasn't to do with the anaesthetic, i researched the fillings and refused to have the amalgam (silvery) fillings as they contain mercury. The dentist wouldn't give me those ones anyway because of this. So i ended up with temporary fillings Instead of paying £50 for just 1 white one. The temp ones are white and 3 years later are still going strong :-)
So have a look into it before agreeing to the amalgam fillings
