Just did long post and disappeared! My mum has said the steriliser and breast pump would be waste of money from ASDA event and quote I can squeeze my own breasts into a bottle! Shall be ignoring her input and will be there 8am on 18th or does the stock ever arrive earlier? Also I've been feeling flutters/movements most evenings, but not as much last night. Should I be worried? Midwife told me not to expect much until 24 weeks. x:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0

Sorry but ....... :rotfl:
I wouldn't worry about not feeling much, easier said than done I know, mine was the same.
Well to say I've had zero sleep I don't feel too bad, maybe that's the way forward, not sleeping! Probably hit me like a brick tomorrow.
((hugs)) to all fellow insomniacs and MI3...get doing all the eviction things, eating curry, sexy time etc.
SJP I'm jealous you've got your name. We really are at loggerheads over ours, I won't budge on mine and I don't like any of his. We always agreed on mine if we ever had a boy but he's "changed his mind":heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -

Digital and Pixie feel free to come join our chat, lol.....I managed to doze off about 6ish and woke with a creak in my neck at about 9.30 because of the way I had fallen asleep on the sofa lol

I managed to go to bed for a couple of hours this afternoon while he was out and i slept on and off for a couple of hours.....bubs is being very active today which really isn't helping lol.
OK labour vibes to MI3 and whoever else is at that point now, stay put vibes for Sarah and big hugs for everyone....i think we all need a virtual hug at least once a day lol

Well ladies, I went to the interview which was more straightforward than most, I thought. However, I decided not to tell them about the pregnancy as there were a lot of applicants and only 3 jobs. I know technically they can't not hire you because of a pregnancy but they might have just said 'there was a better candidate'. So I kept schtum. Problem is they asked if I had any holidays planned this summer and I didn't even think about Mat leave because it feels a lifetime away so I said I had no holidays. I'm just kinda worried about telling them now if, and I stress the if, I get offered the job.
I'm also still coughing and feeling really cold-ey, flu-ey so I have decided I am far too tired to cook dinner tonight and will probably just order a takeaway. Naughty me.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
Good Luck to all who comp!

Madbird,a few people have said that some Asdas have stuff in already. I've seen stuff the day before events but usually it's not marked down yet.
I ended up hand expressing after I put the wrong bit of my pump in the micro steriliser. I felt like a milk maid milking a cow :rotfl: I'll buy the TT one this time round as I hope to BF for longer. I will read the instructions this time.
As for the baby movements, they really like to keep us worried. I have long periods during the day with no movement the loads after dinner. The baby sleeps a lot. Try drinking a cold glass of coke or as someone else mentioned, lucozade. Both the cold and sugar usually gets them moving.
A lot of women have mentioned recently not feeling much, but around the 24-26 week they are feeling more. The babies move all the time too, so it's sometimes harder too feel.
If your still worried then give your MW a call. Maybe she can check the heartbeat to give you peace of mind.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I didn't find out I was PG until I was 9 weeks or so gone so I would claim ignorance and say you didn't know at the time of the interview if you get one of the positions (fingers crossed for you xxxx)
Good job on the take away I think I might suggest that to hubby hehe

Hello
Pixie - I wouldn't have told them either. No point in making things deliberate for yourself. You don't need to legally tell your employer until the very latest 15 weeks before the week before your baby is due. They don't have to pay you SMP anyways, so they're not really losing out monetary wise.
(((Hugs))) to the resident insomniacs - RBG and Hitchins. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight.
Madbird - some of the stuff in the Asda baby event gets reduced even further at the end. I managed to get the TT electronic breast pump for £20 online and had it delivered to store so no p&p. Haven't got it out of the box yet to read the instructions - bit scared lol
DH and I both have the same bug. Fortunately it is not flu, but it is a sore throat/phlegmy cough/headache thing - so it is a bit poo. We're both holed up at home and I'm only leaving the house to walk the dog. I'm coping better than DH and he's able to take Night Nurse and all that nice stuff, whereby I'm stuck with hot honey and lemon and paracetamol
I feel quite productive as I made a start on packing my hospital bag today :j:j I was going through the drawers for the baby things and I see to have got quite a lot of stuff already. DH was not amused. Ooops:cool::D

Thanks, I told my mum I wasn't a cow!! Will try to get to ASDA tomorrow, however the MIL works in an ASDA ....thing is if I ask her she will get wrong thing guaranteed plus lots more I don't want!!
I can't stand coke now yet used to live on it, I'll get some lucozade tomorrow and try that. My scan not until 27th and next midwife appointment not until beginning of March. I just want to relax and enjoy it but I can't. Also feel guilty don't feel excited yet, everyone else is for me. Think thats why I need to buy a few bits to feel positive and take steps forward.
Lots of you were talking about tiredness, I'm 39 and this is my first... and last at this rate. I'm soooo tired all day, really am glad I've left work. Full of admiration for those of you wanting to work until 36 weeks and beyond:T.:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0 -
Pixie I was a bit naughty and went for a job when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I didn't tell them until I'd started. I waited until I was 12 weeks and went in and said I'd just found out.
They were fine about it and I had a part time job to go back to.
I think you can wait longer until you tell them, but my job was merchandising books.I had to lift lots of boxes, so I told them early so I could get help.
Hope you get the job.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Shall be ignoring her input and will be there 8am on 18th or does the stock ever arrive earlier?
My two local ASDAs (Bolton and Farnworth) both have had the Baby Event running since at least yesterday - an employee told me that they got it all out early because of other shops starting their baby sales early (presume she meant Sainsbury's). She said that the stair gates are selling quite quickly, but that they would be restocking again for the 'official' start of the sale to make sure there were plenty in for people who didn't come in until the proper start. All my items went throught at the baby event price.0
