Hastings essential car insurance - Not at fault RTA, help ?

Here is how it goes, me and my pregnant wife were stationary on a roundabout and hit by a driver from behind. The car had a dent and a few scratches at its bumper. Her car suffered a greater damage although she drove into us. She collided with us twice while we were stationary. I put the handbrake on from there. As it was a low speed RTA and mine is a strong car we didnt feel much of an impact so my wife and me were fine. The other driver was also ok just the front of her car looked squished.
We exchanged car insurance details and I understand both of us have comprehensive cover. I was approached by Helphire from Hastings , however Esure (her insurer firm) contacted me and they said that the other driver had claimed full responsibility and that they would get my care repaired at no extra cost to me.
Now here is my problem, a week or so from now I am due to renew mny car insurance and lo and behold my car premiums have risen to 522 £ as I found out in the post today, I phoned them and said to hastings that their own advisor had said that my NCB wont be affected, and they amended this clause (having seen the notes from the advisor who spoke to me earlier) but that to me looked really unprofessional on their part and gave me unnecessary stress.
My wife is due for delivery in next few weeks, and my car has now been taken away by the crash repair services, to sort out the paint job. It has been 2 days but I am told that this could take upto 2 weeks! I have been given a car from enterprise car rental in interim.
Now my car insurance with hastings expires in a week . As I am told that my NCB is intact I will mention that my NCB is 4 yrs to my new insurer (which is what it is). And hastings has confirmed that they will honour this and give me this in writing.
Now I need help from those in the know as to the following
1. Will I have to pay anything extra for the damage repairs given the worst expense here seems to be the 2 weeks of car rental.
2. Will my premiums go up
3. Will I have to declare this incident to the next insurer although all responsibility for damage has been taken by the other driver.
4. Should I from now protect my no claims bonus ?

Unless the claim has been settled you will have to say as such on the comparison sites which may affect your premium and/or which insurers will quote for you. If it was me, to be on the safe side, would try to get it in writing the other insurer has admitted liability. Then, search as a not at fault accident and when you have the cheapest premium buy over the phone rather than online, so this can be explained and reduces the risk of your policy being cancelled if they scan the database and the claim isn't marked as settled. Then again, maybe I'm just paranoid, but having insurance cancelled/voided really isn't something I would want!
With regard to point 2, most insurers wouldn't take much notice unless you had a heap of not at fault claims recently, but each one has their own rating policy.0 -
