Hi Doodledo!
Nice to see you back - I was reading through the early pages of my diary yesterday and there are some posts from you! I was wondering where you had gone!
Sorry you have been feeling rough recently - there have been loads of nasties doing the rounds; mainly chest related! I hope you feel much better soon.
Obviously not knowing what is on your list makes it a little harder to comment, but I think you have got the balance right with a biggy and a couple of smaller ones to give you the sense of achievement!
Wishing you all the best on your savings quest, Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi Nat, nice to see you back. I shall pop over to your diary tonight and have a catch up
I might post details of my goals later tonight when I have had a think through which ones to do. Some of them are personal but others are ones which I don't mind peeps knowing about and obviously I will post my money related ones on here too.
Definately need to work out a reasonable target for my savings. Needs to be a mixture of realistic but also stretching so I get my bum into gear and earn some extra pennies.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Right I had a chat with someone at the bank and they suggested I open an ISA and a savings account, the majority of my savings will go into the ISA but I will build up a small savings fund for too for emergencies, such as stuff with the car etc. So going to get those opened in the next few days. Can't see me being able to add much to either before Christmas but you never know :T
Ok so things to work on from my bucket list first are:
- lose weight
- get Ebay business back up and running
Ok these are both biggies sort of but there is method to my madness. Losing weight is at the centre of many of my wishes. As in new wardrobe of clothes, finding mr right, gaining confidence etc. etc. So if I crack that the others will follow in theory.
Secondly my Ebay business is sort of there, I have the stock and I have a few things listed, so in reality all I need to do is put more effort in. Plus this will bring in the extra money to hit my savings target too
Savings I am going to aim for £5000 by the end of next year
Wish me luck peeps lolProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Morning peeps, how are we all?
Not much planned this weekend other than a bit of food shopping so I am going to crack on with some MSE thingies.
This afternoon I am going to sort my Ebay stock ready to do some more listing. Have already made about £200 from what little I have put on so far so the sales are definately there to be had.
Might try and do a few dooyoo reviews too.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Are you feeling better now? You certainly sound as though you have a bit more energy.
I too am aiming to have savings by the end of next year - so how about we have ourselves a head to head savings challenge? £5k would be good for me too - have never had proper savings before!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hey benbem good to see you.
I feel a need for a little whinge. Sometimes I read this board and get very disheartened by what some people get in benefits. When I see people with incomings near on mine and I think how hard I have had to work to get where I am and I get no help at all. It sometimes feels you are penalised for being a single mum and working
Anyway rant over lolProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hey Chev long time no speak.
Had a rough week at work this week. Because of the spending review our department was cut in half, on my side of the business we had 11 people in our team and we are now down to 8. Don't know how but I am one of the remaining 3. A real mixture of guilt and happiness at work for me at the momentProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
