720p I think, from my googling, but I don't know exactly what it means, so not 100%!

I could only find older expired comps in regulars when I searched. I'm guessing that as this has a definite end date and a separate question and prize that it should be here on the main boards going by the poll results?

Thanks for posting Lovetolaugh :A I had this problem a little while back, and I think on the poll results you've done it right (posted on main but a link should also be sent to regulars normally, although this time it has been posted to regulars first so I think this time leave it as it is) :T

I have asked Glad to take look at the two threads as while there are two comp links there is a chance that people will duplicate there entries

I have also added a note to my post in Regulars

this is getting very confusing now I understood rightly or wrongly that if a comp already had a thread on the regulars board that any new post's should go there

I guess we are going to come across this problem a lot while old comps and threads with end dates remain on the regulars board

I notice that someone has been moving some of the daillies back to main, thank-you :A.
As this comp has a link in the Weekly stickies where end-date-compers can easily find it, please could it be moved back to the main board where "The others :rotfl:" also get a chance to enter? Then it can just be bumped each week with the new answer. If there's only one thread in a place where all can find it, there's no chance of duping and no need for changing links etc :j.
Am hoping this'd be a win/win situation that suits everyone :beer:.
As each comp has an end date, separate prize & separate question it matches the criteria for being on main from the poll results, so guessing it's just been overlooked?
Will see whose light is on and PM a BG.

Hiya GB :A I agree with you, from post #50 should have stayed on main board, with the link that had been put in regulars left for this week; then next week when someone posts they should put it on the main board and at the same time attach a link to the weekly thread. Hopefully if we all do it that way everyone will be happy and we can get this thread in order once and for all :T

Oh dear, I thought that, yes this should be on the main board, but that this thread would be updated with the new answer each week so that the link in weeklies would not need to be changed or are weeklies being dealt with differently than dailies? I'm not disagreeing with anyone, just want to know which is correct.
No good me bookmarking this thread if there's going to be a new one each week.

dont think anyone knows whats going on yet bob.

id be inclined to say leave this thread in regs and it gets bumped with the answers each week, but if its also posted on main then the person who posts it on main needs to come here and add a link to the post on main in this thread, and also note in their post on main that they have added a link in this thread and provide th elink to here. that way anyone who wants to check their thanks on both places to avoid duplicating entries can do so and its not causing gilla a heap of extra work by having to change the overall link every single week.

its ongoing since there is no overall end date as to when the weekly comps will stop, but each weeks entry has its own end date which confuses things slightly.

Thanks, I didn't realise there wasn't an overall end date, the way I understood the poll results, that means it is correct in being here and should not be on the main board.

at the moment Andrea thinks if a promotion doesn't have an overall end date and uses the same link every week for its competitions, just updates the page with the new one, it makes sense (and is a lot less work for everyone) if whoever spots that the page has been changed to a new competition posts on the same thread and say 'there's a new competition on this link'

but I'll point this one out, so can we keep it ontopic from now on please until she makes a decision

Bob - I can't put it as an ongoing thread on mains as there isn't an overall end date sorry

gb - there are 18 pages of comps still in regs, so wether this one stays here or I end up moving it to mains that's still a lot of comps people may be missing out on so hopefully one good thing about the recent debate will be that more people are aware of the regs board and the fab sticky threads

Ah, that's a shame as those who never venture here will still miss out, and that's mainly what the whole debate was about, but as you say, they may be more aware now - not going to drag it all up again
