Nintendo Wii insulted my wife.

Options
My wife bought a Wii and Wii fit plus because her sister has one.

She picked a slim Mii character and entered her height and then it measured her weight.

Big mistake.

Her Mii character became fatter and a message appeared on screen saying that my wife was obese:eek:.
Even I daren't tell her that.

She burst into tears and now she refuses to use it, so can I take it back to the shop and get a refund because it insulted my wife?

And will I be able to claim compensation from Nintendo for her hurt feelings?

Not the first I am afraid many have been insulted this way by the Wii.

The whole point of wii fit is to lose weight. If she keeps up with it, eventually, when the wii tells the truth, it will be a nice truth.

I used the wii fit and after a weekend of indulgence much to the amusement of the children my wii character got fatter.

As it is programed to track your weight and progress that's part of the game. Get over it and encourage your wife to eat less and exercise more just as most of us need to.
