I manage to pick up some nice frames from Wilkos a few months back when they were 25p and I was going to print off a nice poem for all the teachers in my sons class, and I thought that way they can keep in school on the wall in their classroom, what do you think of this idea? Stuck for ideas otherwise xxx

Honestly, this is all very well but when I was at school we didn't give our teachers presents.

As a Nurse I don't expect gifts from all the patients I have ever looked after. That would be a lot in 33 years, my house would be heaving.:rotfl::rotfl:

I get paid to do a job and I do it to my very best ability. I don't expect gifts to say thank you. Mind you when we do get biscuits or chocolate, they go down very well. We also get some lovely 'Thank you' cards.

Just get the children to make some 'Thank you' cards and bake some biscuits, if you have to do something. Then they are eaten, enjoyed and not cluttering up someone's house or the local Charity Shop.

As I teacher, the best present I have received in my many years of teaching was a thank you card from a parent during my NQT year (have only received one to date) and I still cherish it to this day. It really is the thought that counts and it still makes my day knowing that a parent feels that I have made a difference to their child's life, after all that's why I do this job! :)

I have spent the day making biscuits for my DD's teachers and TA's to go on a beautiful (reduced though, so MSE) heart shaped plate. I have wrapped them and put a red tie around them.

I had 6 to make. Eldest has teacher, TA and a one to one teacher for another child in her class. Even though the additional TA is allocated to someone she is a great help to them all. Younger daughter has 2 teachers who job share plus the TA. All 6 are fantastic.

Yesterday the girls made cards for them all.
