i bought 2 Dells over the past 10 years online. so far after sales service is good. One had to call out repairman as fan was noisy in the 12mth warranty. other times it has been via phone call advice. Would buy again if needed.
  • ive also bought 2 dell laptops, the wifi stopped working on one of them so i rang dell and they helped me fix it over the phone, then they rang me a few weeks later to make sure everything was still working o.k

i will definately use them again
  • Thanks I was going to buy from PCW then comet but the guys know when your not pc minded and then go all tech lol I know a little bit and I have been using pc finder and but the past two were out of stock. Its a whole new ball game there is that many.
A long time ago Dell were known for their bad aftersales and you had to pay for the whole machine to send back to be mended, so I heard anyway.
Back tot he drawing board omg lol

I bought a Dell Inspiron desktop from their website last week. They delivered it 4 days earlier than expected, I was impressed! Dell products (especially the Inspiron range) are really good value for money.

Argh! Had such a bad experience with PC World / Currys (all the same group). After sales support was an absolute disgrace. I bought a laptop, which was faulty and they wouldn't let me exchange it because it had been discontinued the previous day. I had to go through the whole process of speaking to their head office, etc. Eventually got it sorted, but it was at least another week. I have written 2 letters of complaint and still haven't received any acknowledgement from them. I vowed never to buy from them again.

If you are the kind of person who likes to upgrade or change things inside there computer then Dell is not the right choice.

If you are more likely to just use your new computer for a few years and change it when it feels too old then Dell is a good choice.

The only thing I would consider is Dell outlet.

remember VAT will go on those prices ,but bargains are easy to find and the two I have ordered have been in perfect condition.

I've just ordered for the 5th time from Dell yesterday. I don't know about their after sales service as i've never had to get in touch with them about anything.

I ordered a laptop yesterday and it says it should be here by the 22nd of November or earlier.

    Don't forget,

Dell special offers A round up of their current special deals.

I've also heard that you can spec your machine online, then phone and haggle over the price, or at least get something upgraded for free.

I've also known them to be delivered before the anticipated date.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Dells are as upgradable as any other machine.

Before you spend money on a new one, read this

There is probably nothing wrong with your existing pc, that can't be fixed with an hours work
