  • Yes I can trust the other daughter thank goodness! she went a bit over on her minutes this month but when I checked all her calls were either to me or to her work office as she is out working as a community carer and has to ring in about 10 times a day so thats not really her fault. I just object to be taken advantage of, Im pretty sure they wont put the contract in her name because of her bad credit rating, might order her a payg sim online with £10 on it then put £10 a month into her account to put credit on the sim, then its up to her, shame for her as she has internet access on her phone and lots of texts and minutes but its her own fault, (thought obviously she dosent think it is!) with a payg she will have very few minutes etc and no internet but hey ho thate life for u! any other suggestions welcome!

Thanks everyone! I have now talked to orange, I have got a PAYG sim for the 'problem' phone, managed to go down a contract for my phone and the other contract which will be taken over by daughter no2, and when i said i wanted to change my £15 a month sim only contract to PAYG they managed to change it to £5 a month with the same no of minutes and unlimited texts! Now just have to give no 1 daughter her new payg sim card which I have put £10 on and get her old sim card to give to daughter no 2 and change the number on it! If she wont give me the card then she will get her phone cut off as I'll report the sim as stolen and order a new one to be delivered to my house so no 2 daughter can have it! no 2's sim only conrtact will now go in her brothers phone till it ends as he was on payg. CRIKEY what a performance!!! I get the feeling I am not going to be popular tonight when I give no1 daughter her new sim card.....but such is life! One last question what are non inclusive texts and minutes? as no 1 daughter has lots of these on her bill!

non inclusive texts and minutes are probably calls to 0845 / 0844 / Skype calls numbers - not included in allowance are texts to numbers that don't start 07 or texts made whilst abroad

Eta: Do you get itemised bills? It will show there exactly which numbers you are being charged for

Sounds like you've got it sorted. Orange may want to charge you to change the number, so tell them you've been having malicious calls on it or something and they'll do it free.
I think on Orange if you top up £10 a month you get some inclusive texts and internet so it won't actually be that bad for her.
Yeah non inclusive minutes may in addition to what leah said just be when she's gone over her 600 mins allowance.

If you ask the PAYG sim to be put on Dolphin, then they get something some internet, free facebook, and around 300 texts a month for £10.

THanks yet again! I realised that over her minutes or o845 nos wouldnt be inclusive, i just dont understand the texts being non inclusive when she wasnt over her limit and the numbers appear to be ordinary ones, oh well we live and learn, Im sure i will be the 'wicked stepmother' later when i take ner new sim card to her! She can sort out which tarrif the card goes on to get what she wants for the £10 a month I am going to put on it! whichever I choose will be wrong! lol

  • If she's texting things like the X Factor then these wil be premium texts. (I actually have no idea if you can text the X Factor as I don't watch it.)
If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Thanks I had never thought of things like X factor (can you text them??!) that may well be what she is doing I will check the numbers again and see if I can find out what they are, of course she will deny it, like she denied downloading ring tones when the bill clearly stated she had!

If she's like that she's lucky you're giving her anything towards it.
Premium rate text messages are sent to shortcodes beginning 6xxxx or 8xxxx, and are often charged a lot. So look for 5 digit numbers on the bill.

If she has been voting for Wagner, then take her phone from her till X-Factor is over !
